I don't know how wealth is 'redistributed' to the 'lower and beyond'. Is Obama eager to put everyone on welfare and on food stamps? I don't think so. The lower income people already don't pay taxes and most middle income pay relatively low taxes, at least at the federal level. So, how is Obama going to redistribute 'wealth' to the lower income? This is what he might do: - Expanding gov't paid health coverage to low income people. Can you think of any other way in which Obama may benefit our enemy, 'the lazy and the poor'?

Your enemy is the lazy and the poor? They aren't my enemy, they're the manifestation of a non workable society of which Obama, McCain and Rodham promise you more.

If the government forces redistributions unto undeserving others then they could be viewed as the enemies of the self-sustained because they are the friends of our true enemy, the welfare state. My question was, how is Obama going to channel our hard-earned wealth to the enemy other than in the modest ways I outlined above?

One of the biggest ways the gov't does this is by its expansion. Non producing government workers are the way the gov't (Obama included) cultivates parasites on the working class.

As I stated before, almost everyone is a racist. I don't think it's just a cultural thing. Racism is probably genetic but it can be reinforced and exacerbated by upbringing and circumstances. Now, in the case of Hillary, I am surprised that so many do vote for her. I don't know why she would deserve anyone's vote but that's a different issue. Most blacks vote for Obama out of race pride, no question about it but I don't think that Al Sharpton got anywhere close to 90% of the black vote 4 years ago and he is a lot blacker than Obama. Condi Rice would probably get a low percentage of the black vote.

Then, do we all agree that W was the biggest redistributionist of all times - with his asking for and enacting the largest expansion of the US government since... ever? It IS possible that Obama or McCain would grow the gov't even bigger but they are going to be under big pressure to stop borrowing us into bankruptcy. They may both try to raise taxes but we are not in an environment where people have a lot of disposable income to give away to the government.

Liberty is not a means to a higher political end. It is itself the highest political end. So when the MSM ignores the black pride vote, and winces at Obama's failure to receive more white votes, they display the signs and symptoms of political correctness and white guilt.

Yes, there is. The Roman empire was fixed when the citizens got too lazy and addicted to entertainments. The barbarians took over and 'a new world order' emerged. We are probably at the end of the cycle that began with the fall of Rome and the massive migrations from Asia.

Indeed. As one commentator said last night, if Appalachia were a country, Hillary could be its queen. But the country is not just Appalachia (thank God). Clearly Obama has a hillbilly problem. The only thing worse than not getting the hillbilly vote is...well...getting it. An analyst showed last night that the hillbilly Democrat vote went overwhelmingly for Bush in 2004. In other words, they like fascism almost as much as moonshine. A more pitiful bunch of voters there never were. Obama's better off without 'em.

Well, to write off OH, PA, KY and WV is to lose to McCain. The Rev Wright issue and his bitter, guns and bibles comment resonated in these hills and I assume they will in other pockets of the country where Americans still outnumber socialists.
I don't think Obama's gonna write em off. He's gonna a pick a veep that's a REAL hillbilly, one who hasn't forgotten his heritage of freedom (unlike his now reflexively pro-fascist kin). Jimmy Webb, baby! That's a winning ticket if there ever was one. He'll get the hillbillies back to where they need to be -- opposing fascism instead of being its most notoriously lockstepped dupes. Then, all our freedom-fighting hillbilly ancestors (the ones who gave no quarter or comfort to tyrants - ever) might finally stop spinning in their graves.

Yeppers. I have had more than a bellyful of the remarks made about the *hillbillies* that voted yesterday. I have lived in Kentucky for about 10 years now and out of all the states I have lived in, you won't find better people to live around. I don't have to lock my doors, people help each other out and most here would give you the shirt off their back. Most here have kids in Iraq and most have lost their kids to Iraq. They work hard, go to church and try to raise their kids right. They are hardly *uninformed*, *uneducated* or racist.

This caricature of white, non-Obama voters being pushed by the MSM is going to be Obama's death knell. They are so PC that they are now incapable of honestly discussing the results of a vote. This problem of the left will come back hard to bite the Chosen One come November. The very people you described as your neighbors are depicted as HS educated, working class. Can anyone tell me how they culled out that demographic? The last census was nearly 9 years ago and god knows how many folks continued their education, moved out, while others moved in. And most important, who gives a rip? When O gets 92% of the black vote are their educational backgrounds discussed? Their work habits? Saint Obama will have a positive effect on this country in that he will wake some folks up to an agenda to marginalize people b/c of their color, that color would be white.

The Saviour has a white hillbilly problem that just might damage him badly in November. That is what Hillary has exposed, I suppose intentionally, as she and McCain are buds. Why else whould she be doing this?
It is a good thing she exposed where Obama needs to focus his efforts in his campaign to beat McCain this November. It is a strength in the Democratic Party that this happened, not a weakness. She and others will work hard this Summer and Autumn to unify the party and get people focused on the task on hand of beating John McCain. When all is said and done in November, he will be snubbed as an extension of the failed Bush administration.
He will lose by just as much or more in Puerto Rico than he won by in Oregon. Puerto Ricans really know how to get the vote out. Look for over 1 million voters easily, possibly 2 million.
