Webb, like Obama, seems to attract the same drooling, twitching like lunatics, grinning like love-struck teenagers, gazing off into the far distance with the glazed 1,000-yard stare of the shell-shocked and the lobotomized. Avoid him and his kind.
You'll learn of your cousins who crossed the Irish Sea in ancient times to settle in Western Scotland, who fought and defeated Emperors, Kings and even Popes. Who spurned all authorities save themselves (and God) and had the wherewithall to make it stick.
Now, perhaps, being an Irish Catholic, you resent your cousins for what they did when they crossed back over the sea from Western Scotland to Ulster, when they brought their Pope-less creed and Kirk into the midst of Popery itself, and defeated same at the Battle of the Boyne, before miraculously withstanding the siege of Londonderry.
We would have tried to make a life with our cousins, but when the English thought to force us to become Anglican as our cousins would force us to become Catholic, we left Ulster en masse for America, which was fortuitous since our leaving led to the coming of a free country for our cousins to flee to less than a century later, one that was beyond the reach of murderous English kings.
And so, providence has united we cousins once more. Will we fight each other as before, or will we unite to fight our common foe, the infernal English, their Yankee cousins and EMPIRE? ;^)
