The Great Cougar Cover Up Wednesday, May 21, 2008 | 10:53 PM Story Media Top Stories By Chuck Goudie Remember the lone, wandering cougar that was shot and killed by Chicago police? Some wildlife experts say it may not have been alone and may not have wandered so far. Are government officials in the Midwest covering up a dangerous and growing cougar population? In some places, they're called mountain lions. Around here, they're known as cougars. There are questions about whether government officials here in the Midwest are waging "the great cougar cover-up" by ignoring evidence and disavowing the wild cats' existence. Story continues belowAdvertisement We know how one cougar's journey ended in the back yard of a Roscoe Village home. But Illinois authorities still don't know is where its journey began. Although genetic analysis isn't complete, initial tests suggest the cougar made a 950 mile trip to Chicago from South Dakota. Wildlife experts interviewed by the I-Team say it's more likely the cougar came from much closer. "I stopped. It frightened me," said witness Wendy Chamberlain. Chamberlain investigates livestock attacks as township supervisor in Parma, Michigan. After documenting numerous accounts of cougars killing farm animals, Chamberlain herself saw one a few months ago near her home. "It walked and went into the grass in this area right here," she said. "We think the population is probably around 100 adults," said Dennis Fijalkowski, Michigan Wildlife Conservancy. Fijalkowski's wildlife organization says there is a native population of cougars born; bred and residing in Michigan. "I think we have 1,500 sightings in the last five years. But we estimate that is just a fraction of the total. A lot of people won't come forward because they've been made fools of for so long by the state," said Fijalkowski. The Michigan Wildlife Conservancy has catalogued evidence; done their own DNA testing and obtained a video of cougars in far southeastern Michigan. When the woman who shot the video showed it to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, officials told her they were common house cats. A local video production company with experience in law enforcement cases tested the state's theory by putting a common house cat in the same spot the woman photographed the suspected cougar, and they compared its size to a 6-foot tall man in the middle and the suspected cougar on the left. Conclusion: it was no house cat. Some cougar experts say it's more likely Chicago's cougar came from the upper peninsula of Michigan than South Dakota, but DNR officials in both states say they have no cougar populations. "Could be ten, 20 or hundreds of cougar sightings in a year. But many turn out to be dogs, coyotes," said Dan Ludwig, Illinois DNR biologist. The Illinois DNR has verified only three cougars here since the late 1800s, and those have been within the past several years. In the last six weeks, Illinois DNR biologists have investigated a dozen reports of cougars in metro Chicago and verified none. "All the evidence we looked at came out negative," said Ludwig. In Michigan, retired DNR forester Mike Zuidema says he was ridiculed when he reported seeing a cougar. Zudiema has now documented 1,100 cougar sightings in upper Michigan since the 1950s and believes authorities are trying to hide a growing cougar population. "It was a cover-up initially related to budgets," he said. He says state officials didn't want to pay the costs of managing a new endangered species and that recently a high-ranking Michigan DNR official told him there is a disinformation campaign underway. "We have been told that when we talk to the press and news channels, not to say it was a mountain lion. You can say the tracks were consistent with mountain lions. Or it probably was a mountain lion. But don't actually say it was a mountain lion, even if you think so," said Zuidema. That noncommittal approach was taken when the I-Team asked a Michigan DNR official whether there are cougars in his state. "The department is looking at it. We feel that there is a possibility that there could be individuals scattered," said Adam Bump, Michigan DNR. And even though some wildlife experts say Illinois could now have a breeding cougar population, DNR officials here also deny it. "We do not feel there is a viable cougar population in Illinois. But what we do have possibly is transient animals, or what biologists say are dispersing animals, animals coming from their home area where they were born looking for another area," said Ludwig. The cougar issue was magnified last month when Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley received threatening letters complaining about the animal shot and killed by police. Sounds like the WILDLANDS PROJECT: The REWILDING Project | Introduction Mountain lions hold more heritage to this land than any other predator in North America.” — Spirit of the Rockies: The Mountain Lions of Jackson Hole I suppose if I hadn't had a cougar across the road screaming like a banshee for nearly 15 minutes (a female calling to a male for mating purposes), a few nights later in a tree in my front yard (November, '03) and then in my back yard this past snow-laden spring, coming within 30 feet of the house, this section on REWILDING would not have been created; and I see that it is impossible to discuss the Rewilding Project without linking it to its source (U.N.) and the bigger picture. Without that, some of the assertions made here could easily be tossed aside by an individual who has bought in to the media mind control and who may have attended some of the local 'community' meetings where the tried and true method of 'consensus building' has skewed understanding of the true nature of the plan. The Rewilding Project is brought to us from the United Nations. A relevant tentacle of Agenda 21, the Rewilding Project is designed to restore a major portion of the planet to its 'original' state before man came along and messed it all up; however, it could not be happening if it were not being implemented by state and local legislation. State legislation creates the agencies that mirror federal agencies which were created to implement the schemes emanating from the UN; those Federal agencies would include Forestry and Fish and Wildlife. As far as we can gather, the agency most responsible for the importation of carnivores into our states (and back yards) is the state Game Commission. Here in Pennsylvania, in the face of hundreds of reported sightings, the Game Commission flatly denies its existence, saying "there is no scientific evidence that cougars have 'returned' to Pennsylvania". The mind-controlled game wardens, without embarrassment or shame either out-right lie, or are hired for their low IQ, so they're easily duped. Pathetically, these people have families, friends and other loved ones who may one day soon become a meal for these non-existent predators, and haven't a clue that they are pawns in a deadly game emanating from the United Nations. While researching the Rewilding Project, the Pennsylvania Wildlands Recovery Project (PWRP) came up in an article. The planners make no bones about their plans, however they adamantly deny the carnivores are re-introduced into areas where it is claimed they haven't lived for the past hundred years. So, we're to believe the gray wolves and the mountain lions got together in a meeting and decided to head back to Pennsylvania. . . and your state too. At the PWRP website it was explained that the ultimate goal is to establish multi-state/multi-national Wildland Corridors beginning with the State Parks except they'll no longer be called 'State Parks'; they'll be called State Wildlands. Each State Park will connect by wooded corridors to other state and national parks. The wildlands will prohibit any human habitat and their corridors will severely limit human habitation. Any private property in the way will be 'taken' by eminent domain, although the term used is "willing sellers". That's another subject. Suffice to say that when they want your property you WILL sell and at a price they set. Otherwise, they'll remove you forcefully. Private land is being taken all over America by local, state and federal governments under 'eminent domain'. Allegedly there must be a public need for invoking eminent domain; however, amazingly and brazenly the confiscated property is often turned over to private developers for their commercial use for huge profits. In the case of Wildlands and their Corridors, it will be dedicated exclusively to plants, insects, bees, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians and animals. Each of my daughters has seen them, at two different times. I read one had been killed by a car in West Virginia. I just found a cougar sighting website for our area, and found that they have been sighted in Fairfax which is heavily populated and just a few miles from DC. My daughter said they also are known to perch in trees from whence they pounce on their prey. My other daughter saw her cougar running along the side of a back road at night. It ran so fast she almost didn't see it. . The Banker's Manifesto ties in with U.S. Senate Document No. 43, 73rd Congress, 1st Session (1934), to wit: "The ultimate ownership of all property is in the State; individual so-called "ownership" is only by virtue of Government, i.e., law, amounting to mere "user" and use must be in acceptance with law and subordinate to the necessities of the State." Remember, it's not a question of "if" the economy will collapse, but "when". And if they can't "steal" your property with the above described scheme, they will take it via sequestration by "conservation easements" and expropriate it to international organizations, corporations and associations at "the extinction of the State" through "concessional" lending. That is what the ESA (Endangered Species Act of 1973), the UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme), UNDP (United Nations Development Programme), and the treaty entitled the "Convention On Biological Diversity" and the benign sounding phrase, "Sustainable Development" are all about. And this includes Governor Locke's "Washington Wild Salmonid Restoration" plans. Already we are witnessing the strings working the puppets , like King County Executive Sims talking about raising building permit fees by five percent to "save the salmon." There is an old maxim of law: "deceivers deal in generalities". We are only seeing the "tip" of the iceberg. The "plan" is to control all resources, human and natural. The control is not by elected public officials, but by a self-appointed oligarchy. This is born out by reading the details of Article 21 and 39 of the "Convention On Biological Diversity." This treaty declares there are no reservation of rights. Article 21 mandates that three international organizations, the UNEP, UNDP and the World Bank, will direct and control "the policy, strategy, programme priorities and eligibility criteria relating to access to and utilization of resources" in each member country. Under the Uruguay Round Trade Agreements signed into law by the 103rd Congress, which are amendments of the GATT treaty (General Agreement On Trade And Tariffs), the WTO (World Trade Organization) was created. These agreements dictate policy and contain clauses that allow various other international organizations to regulate and control the member Nations' resources and production. One of these organizations is IUCN (International Union For Conservation Of Nature) which is responsible for implementing the international policy and plans and agendas on a national, regional and local level. King County Executive Sims is reacting to that policy now. And so is Governor Locke. Question: Where is there any "authority" under the Constitution for the United States of America (Article VI) for these activities? There isn't, primarily because the UN and its agents are foreign entities which are illegally in the country in the first instance. Additionally, the UN Charter, its amendments and other interacting agreements are in contravention of the Constitution. The whole story is a long and sordid affair. The foregoing gives you a few basic pieces of the larger puzzle. We have a Trojan horse within our gates. It must be STOPPED AND KILLED . . . BEFORE IT KILLS US.
