What if...
... that israeli nuke that CIA agent was reportedly following in TX found it's way into Houston. It is detonated this weekend. It would be a good time to detonate it, since most people will not be at work, and the refinery area can be destroyed with not too massive of a loss of life.
Of course, martial law is declared, and the Constitution more or less dies this weekend along with thousands of people. What do you see happening? Not what you hope to see, but honestly see?
Specifically, how would we stop the total destruction of our Constitution?

Personally, I see single patriots taking vengeance on the local powers first, and working their way up the food chain. Then they will form into groups, just by following the sound of gunfire. Most people are "lone wolves". The military and LEO will not be effective at stopping the revolution. I am curious though on what other peoples points of view are.

Bush will put a stop-loss on MY FREAKIN' STIMULUS CHECK!! Seriously, there will be a "temporary" suspension of ALL ammunition and firearm sales until a TSA-like agency (no, even worse than the BATFE) can be established by Congress.
When it comes to this issue, I'm a glass empty kind of a guy. I see things differently. I see the federal government releasing their list of 8 million names and addresses of people they think are dangerous to their reins of power. I see LEO's taking these lists and rounding people up like the good lapdogs they are. Since most of the people on this list are normal, everyday law abiding Americans (like those on the government no fly list) who have no aspirations of harming the government, they will meekly go with the LEOs. The few that do manage to realize what's going on will disappear, but only until the government/media propaganda train starts rolling. Then these people will be turned in by their supposed friends, co-workers and neighbors. Some, will successfully disappear, but will be unable to do much more than small, hit and run type operations, which cause little damage but annoy the shit out of governmental officials. Others will successfully make it across one of the borders and apply for asylum somewhere. I think it will take several years before there is any serious guerilla activity.

You can't. The dictatorship of the proletariat will scream for DC to save them all and turn in, or do much worse, to any 'terrorist lovers' and 'kooks' that get in the way. I used to think people would rise up, but I very much doubt that now. I think the best hope would be a civil war where the 30% of the people who do desire true freedom (Sorry Dr. Paul. Freedom is not popular) carve out a multi-state area to call home and leave the bulk of the nation alone to its Empire building stupidity.

I think we all know what the sheeple would do. No dispute there. They bear a lot of responsibility for us being in this mess. They get what they deserve. They are slated for destruction, the same as we are. It's not us, imo, that they are targeting, its the population as a whole. They want to thin out the herd to make it more easy to manage. Their "management" of the population is getting away from them. If they dont act soon, they will lose what little control they have left. JMO Looks like I am the only optimist here. That's OK, I was just interested in others thoughts.
Earlier today, I had a HomeDepot rep over to give an estimate for radiant barrier to be sprayed on the roof decking. After visiting about the economy, the war, etc. I gave him the numbers of our local micro-broadcasters - turns out that he was already listening to them and is up to speed with today's reality. There may be more of 'us' out there than we realize.
I've met a few. The last one is a mechanic in NE. I mentioned "police state" and he perked right up. He is one of us. Big AJ fan. We killed some time talking about things. He might be here now. I'm sorry my friend. I wish I could be more optimistic, but the American people as a whole have given me no reason to be. They are the proverbial frog in the pot of water sitting on the stove with the burner turned on full blast. By the time they wake up it will be too late.

It seems that when I get 'down' on things, out of the blue I'll meet someone who I'd never thought would be 'up to speed,' but they are with us - and I'm speaking of all ages, races, etc. You never know until you engage people. I have to be an optimist - otherwise, I'd have to just eat one. Cheers, guys.
