LVIV/UKRAINE: Visitors to the Ukrainian resort town of Truskavets, already renowned for its life-preserving mineral springs, will soon be able to tempt fate by drinking in the world's largest coffin.
The coffin, 20 metres long, six metres wide, and six metres high will be called "Eternity" and is the brainchild of a local group of undertakers.
"Thirty cubic metres of pine have been used for the construction," said Andri one of those behind the new enterprise. He refused to give his surname.
Once the bar is fitted out, coffins of a normal dimension will serve as tables. On each of these will be a candle, Andri said.
"It's our director Stepan Pyrianyk who had the idea," explained Andri. "He loves his work and reckons the project will bring tourists to Truskavets."
