I believe that the context is that Jews tend to support the Demo in the 70%+. And not all the Jews are Zionazis. I suspect McCain gets the Zios' lion share.
Don't be so sure that Dem voting Jews are peaceniks, when it comes to Israel. Israel's national anthem is still sung at every service in Reform synagogues and Orthodox synagogues alike. Also Obama agreed to have himself humiliated at an interview he gave to Jeffrey Goldberg et al about his position on Israel: jeffreygoldberg.theatlant.../obama_on_zionism_and_ham as.php
I'd like to know more about this.
I first learned about it recently when it was mentioned on philip weiss's blog. No one corrected the observation by this poster, and as you know philip weiss is Jewish as are several of his regular posters, so I assumed it's true... http://www.philipweiss.org/mondoweiss/2008/05/american-jews-are-double- agents.html "...phil, i know of no other ethnicity in america other than jews at their synagogues, that sings the national anthem of another nation while worshiping in america. the jews in their synagogues sing the israeli national anthem, catholics dont sing the italian national anthem in their churches neither do other catholics from other nations sing theirs..plus i have never seen the anglican churches promoting nationalism under the roof of their churches..." For the first several decades of united Italy, there was great hostility between the Catholic Church and the Italian monarchy, which was, to a certain extent, anticlerical, and which had taken away from the Pope's rule most of his secular realm of the Papal States in central Italy (leaving only Vatican City). Not until Mussolini signed a concordat with the Church did this hostility more or less end.
