Just curious - anyone see Recount? Any opinions? Even if the Gore/Lieberman ticket had won, would America be any different today? I'm thinking specifically about the Iraq invasion - would we have done it under Gore/Lieberman? What about domestic spending ( no child left behind and pork barrel) and policies like shamnesty for illegals and manufacturing outsourcing toleration and greed glitches like the hedge fund speculation on oil and real estate meltdown- would things be different under Gore/Lieberman?

I did not see Recount on HBO, but as to you "what if" questions, I do not believe things would have been any different under a Whore/Loserman administration with the exception that MAYBE Gore would have listened to Shalikashvili when it came to the required troop strength that would be needed to accomplish the mission.

If GulfWar I required half a million troops, how did they ever dream that only 150,000 plus who knows exactly how many mercs, could cut the mustard this time?

I did. It was awful. A total leftist slant; Rs bad, Ds good. Even down to the facial expressions, etc. In a word, it's unwatchable.

AFA had Gore won, I don't think we'd see a different foreign policy. Domestically, we'd be in more trouble, as Ds are even worse than Rs with taxation and social spending.

Because they are nuts. One plan floated at the time was a classic 'Bridge too far' battle plan were a few Airborne divisions would be dropped into the Baghdad and they would sit there till the entire country surrendered.

The ethics issue aside, what qualifications to most of those in power have to run a war?

But more importantly we should not have put 1 single US soldier, never mind 150,000 or 500,000, in harm's way for an unnecessary elective war that was based on lies from the get-go.

I don't understand why the perpetrators and deciders of this war are not arrested and tried as terrorists or at the very least the top 2 impeached.

Paging Senator Obama...what are you going to do about Scott McClellan's revelations? Are you going to push for McClellan to be deposed before the Senate on his allegations/

I agree with you completely on both counts.

The cartoon-like characterizations of pancake-make up'd political diva, Ms. Harris, as well as Mr. Evil Baker with the greasy slicked down white hair and pin-striped suit were very heavy-handed indeed. The happy smiley cordial mr. and ms. everyman lawyer actors on Gore's campaign were pretty hard to stomach too.

The D's would have implemented the draft to fight in Iraq for Israel - the D's like to do their wars on the cheap to keep extra $ in the cash register to under write domestic hand outs and entitlements to their loyal voters. Also hate crimes legislation would be a foregone conclusion under a Gorsky/Lie- berman Admin.

I thought there were some funny moments. The discussion of the plural of "chad" and Kevin Spacey's character saying he wasn't sure if he even liked Gore.

Yep, and the Kyoto Treaty would have been law with perhaps individual biometric carbon footprint cards. On the plus side, Gore would weigh about 100 pounds less and Katrina would have been chalked up to a natural disaster rather than a failure of central government.

Yeah I howled with laughter when the Spacey character said he was not sure he even liked Al Gork.

One good thing about Recount was the legal history info given about Florida allowing "intent" of vote to be counted ( case law from the early 1900s)instead of actual definitive evidence of a vote cast. Say what? How can you tell what someone's intent is? Florida is weird.

Because criminals investigating themselves will never find themselves guilty of a damned thing. It's the proverbial fox guiarding the henhouse scenario and neither party would ever accept the findings of a non-two-party fraud investigation.

Nahhh... Everything would be exactly the same because both Gore and W are controlled by the Rotschildren or the Bilderberger Templars. Maybe 9/11 would have taken place on 9/9 or 9/13 but everything else would have been EXACTLY the same. Only that the GOPs would be the anti-war and Barney Fagg would be the pro-surge engine in the congress and running for president.

Antiparty - find out why, think about 'how'
