Bush’s laws will be scrutinized if I become president, Obama says

DENVER - Maybe it’s his background teaching constitutional law.

If elected president, Democratic White House hopeful Barack Obama said one of the first things he wants to do is ensure the constitutionality of all the laws and executive orders passed while Republican President George W. Bush has been in office.

Those that don’t pass muster will be overturned, he said.

During a fund-raiser in Denver, Obama — a former constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago Law School — was asked what he hoped to accomplish during his first 100 days in office.

“I would call my attorney general in and review every single executive order issued by George Bush and overturn those laws or executive decisions that I feel violate the constitution,” said Obama

Other goals for his first 100 days: work out a plan to withdraw troops from Iraq; make progress on alternative energy plans and launch legislation to reform the health care system.

And who will examine Obama's EOs for constitutional worth?

Arator, you are retarded, you know that?

Obama's words mean nothing. He says contradictory things to different audiences everyday.

God is always good!

About the time I learned that the Easter Bunny wasn't real and Santa was Mom and Dad.

However, Oh'bummerphiliacs have faith. They beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelieeeeeeeeeeeve!

What we need is "change with meaning" or is that "meaning with change" or "changeless meanings" or "mean changelings" ...

Reagan, 1980. Buchanan, Perot, 1992. Perot, 1996. Buchanan, 2000. Badnarik, 2004. Paul, 2008.

The difference for the Dems this time around is that Barack must keep such promises or the Republic falls (and the Democrats along with it). I don't think the Dems want to join the GOPers atop history's garbage heap. This fact makes it more likely that they will be kept. In any case, at least Obama is making such promises and raising such issues, which cannot be said of the unrepentantly fascist (and hopelessly corrupt) GOPers.

Check out my blog, America, the Bushieful.

Very recently -- in 2006 when the Democrats took control of the Hill promising "Change We Could Believe In"????

I shall not vote for evil, lesser or otherwise.

They joined that heap decades ago.

Every candidate you mentioned made promises, and every one lied. You're 0 for 8, soon to be 0 for 9.

So Obama is going to.

1 End Welfare. 2 End Social Security 3 End gun restrictions.

No he wont do any of those things. He is not a consitutionalist.

You have become a fool.

“I would call my attorney general in and review every single executive order issued by George Bush and overturn those laws or executive decisions that I feel violate the constitution,” said Obama

So, Baraammmaa will overturn whatever "he" thinks violates the Constitution. I'm sure that's what the framers meant by separation of powers.

As every good fascist knows, the perpetuation of the fascist fraud depends, in the long run, on the training of fledglings in the faith. The dictators catch their conscripts young and discipline them to think in goose-step. Promises of reward for the faithful and ominous warnings about the dangers of nonconformity play their part in making apprentices firmly believe a mass of lies, half-lies, and nonsense. Doubt, even the tiniest wondering doubt, is the cardinal sin. There are few heretics.

Bush and Obummer have a lot in common.

They both have disdain for the "common man".
