In his new book, former White House press secretary Scott McClellan charges that the Bush administration manipulated information in a “propaganda” campaign before the Iraq war, making the faulty claim that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Asked about the book today, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) defended the administration’s actions in the run-up to the war, suggesting there was no manipulation involved. McCain claimed “every intelligence agency in the world” thought Hussein had WMD: I have not seen the book or the comments. But I know why I supported it [the war] because I believed Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction as did every intelligence agency in the world and every assessment. McCain’s blanket statement is wildly off the mark. The Bush administration did set up its own intelligence shops to disseminate faulty intelligence about Iraq’s alleged WMD. But “every” agency in the “world” did not buy the spin — several U.S. agencies were highly skeptical: State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR): Concluded that the “activities we have detected do not add up to a compelling case that Iraq is currently pursuing what [the INR] would consider to be an integrated and comprehensive approach to acquire nuclear weapons.” Department of Energy: Concluded aluminum tubes said to be used for nuclear centrifuges were “likely intended for small artillery rockets.” International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA): On March 7, 2003, IAEA chief Mohamed El-Baradei reported there was “no evidence that Saddam Hussein had any nuclear weapons or was in the process of acquiring them.” Hans Blix, chief U.N. weapon’s inspector: In June 2003, Blix told the U.N. Security Council that his inspection teams had not found any “smoking guns” after visiting some 125 Iraqi sites. When under pressure, McCain has a habit of making sweeping blanket statements. Criticized for his stance on the 21st Century GI Bill last week, McCain falsely claimed he “received the highest award from literally every veteran’s organization in America.” In December, McCain made the blatantly false assertion that the he is “the only one the special interests don’t give any money to.”

You know, like the nuke stuff US officials secretly sold to Turkey (and Pakistan, etc.) before Bush retroactively sanctioned it after a UK news report, when it's actually assembled into something that works. Neoconparanoid catch- phrase.
Not true. The UN inspectors were on the ground and looking all over the place, finding nothing. I remember that Blix asked the CIA to tell him were the WMD were stored, since the CIA was claiming that Iraq had them, and he was ready to go there and uncover them. The CIA sent the inspectors to a couple of places and, every single time, they found nothing.

Indeed! This man is definitely crazy for power and a path liar. Bush is more the dumbo variety of crazy wannabe, who's lazy and lets lots of other mini- crazies do the thinking for him and then he stubbornly carries along the path they've laid out for him. McCain, however, has ambitions of his own - McCain wants to be a historic trail blazer crazy along the lines of Stalin, Hitler, Mao.

I use to keep a photo of Laura and the kosher kitchen help she hired, but it now seems to be missing on the internet. Bet your sweet bippy she has no "red neck" kitchen help.
I'm not sure when they converted, but early on, they'd fly BBQue from Cooper's in Llano, TX for state dinners. Who knows what they're serving these days.
At this point, if you told me Darth and the Chimp dined on barbecued Iraqis flown in fresh from Abu Ghraib, I wouldn't necessarily disbelieve it. It's pretty well established that the Chimp personally ordered the details of the torture and enjoyed watching the vids, glimpses of which we've all seen by now. This reminds me. There's some animal consumed by humans that is deliberately tortured as they slaughter it because the adrenalin released at the point of death makes it tastier. I can't remember now which animal. And I think it was somewhere in Asia this is done, although it may be done elsewhere as well.

Good grief - that's a new one to me. After what we've learned about skull and bones, and bohemian grove, nothing much would surprise me either. clinton pretty much put the presidency into the toilet, and smirk has hit the flush lever.
Dogs and Cats: Tortured for Taste in China I knew it must have been China. Of course, thank God, dogs and cats are not consumed by humans in this country (that we know of). The video is no longer available. That's probably a good thing.
