Karen Johnson At minute 7: "I assumed that expersssing skepticism about the official story of 911 , would be a punishing issue for an elected official.But I'm finding that it's quite the opposite. I would have been arrested if I was in the gallery. Whose state house is that? Do the senators own it? Or do the people own it? Who the fuck does that guy think he is saying "we don't permit applause from the gallery."? I would have told him in no uncertain terms where he could stick it. Aside from that insult to the people, that was an extraordinary speech. This woman is my new hero. :)

Good point. I also wondered what specific legal authority he is basing that statement on. I also thought one could do a search on applause in the az senate and get a collection of applause where he says nothing to stop it. I once met a guy named Jeff Wright from CA, he was a vietnam vet and sort of local rabble rouser who opposed local corruption. he was arrested at a county supervisors meeting for supposedly 'interupting a public meeeting' after he spoke on a non agenda item and if i remember correctly went a bit over his 'allotted time'. he was convicted and spent a year and half in jail. it's a terrible story that shows the evil nature of power and govt.
