I have always wondered if just perhaps Kennedy wrote that speech.

I have never believed that those around him would ever have taken such a course.

NEW WORLD ORDER

JFK shot........Bobby shot......JFK jr dropped from the sky.......

Yet Arator was not treated kindly when the suggestion was made that the Teddy diving incident

may have been a set-up. I really don't understand that. How hard would it be to drug a drunken man

and stage such an incident, just to be sure another Kennedy is never president? I may be a

40 Years Ago Today: Ted Kennedy Speaks of 'New World Society' in RFK's Eulogy http://freedom4um.com/cgi-bin/readart.cgi?ArtNum=81887

At 3:20:

"Like it or not, we live in times of danger and uncertainty. But they are also more open to the creative energy of men than any other time in history. All of us will ultimately be judged, and as the years pass we will surely judge ourselves on the effort we have contributed to building a new world society and the extent to which our ideals and goals have shaped that event."

Given Ted's history as a spoiled, drunken, lecherous son of privilege with a lifelong expectation of special deference and accommodation, I believe that Occam's Razor should attach regarding the tragic death of Mary Jo Kopechne.

What is more believable than the very real possibility that she could have been rescued if SENATOR SAVEASS had gone to a phone instead of swimming the ferry crossing and slithering to his hotel room to pretend that he was never there?

That is the most accurate picture of Ted's character that we'll ever see, and that is why it positively vibrates with truth.

As it turned out there was no need for a conspiracy to keep Ted out of The White House (even though there may have been such a contingency action group) because he was his own worst enemy.

He was driving, drinking, leching, partying with a girl from the office on an expired driver's license and no conspiracy could have possibly been more effective than his own arrogant expectation of illicit pleasure with no accountability to his family, his constituents, his staff or the police.

not to mention, he's always been an alcoholic womanizing lech. here's a story about teddy that i heard from George Green, who at one time was an investment banker who also travelled in the circle of dem party elites. he attended a fundraiser, iirc, and was seated at a table with kennedy. Green had his back to the door of the room. kennedy suddenly eyeballed someone and said, "I'm going to f**k that." Green turned around to see that it was his own 14 yr old daughter, who had accompanied him on the trip, and had just entered the room. he said to kennedy, "oh, no you're not. that's my daughter," to which kennedy replied, "i don't care."

Not saying he was squeaky clean.. just saying its a good plausible way to stage a political downfall.

John Dean summed it up when he said to Richard Nixon as recorded on the White House tapes in 1973: "If

Teddy knew the bear trap he was walking into at Chappaquiddick."

In the Watergate tapes of March 13, 1973, between 12:42 and 2pm, John Dean made a cryptic half

Chappaquiddick may have been fortuitous for Nixon.

But, was that proof of a conspiracy?

The only way that could be true is if there is some proof that Nixon wouldn't have exploited the negligent manslaughter if he hadn't been involved in some way.

How could that ever be proven?

Is it your position that Ted would never have driven off a bridge on his own because he was sober, responsible and cautious in all things?

You obviously want to believe that Mary Jo's death was the result of some scheme to discredit Kennedy. What I don't see is why you lean that way. If you have some compelling evidence or argument then why not share it?

Mary Jo was not cremated. She's buried in St. Vincent's Cemetery.

The attempt to autopsy her remains was opposed by her family, who were supportive of the good senator, especially so after he bought them a house....

Mary Jo's mother always insisted that "Mary Jo was a maiden lady..." and we can't discount that her mom didn't want to learn otherwise about her dead daughter's purity.

This compelling fact alone was strongly in Ted's favor, and (once the autopsy was opposed by the medical examiner which of course it was) the family had the second strongest case to oppose an autopsy under MA law.

The "bear trap" metaphor could mean the circumstances in which Nixon took no part, or it could mean a setup by others.

To drunken, lecherous politicians exposure with dead girls or live boys is a constant occupational hazard and could be referred to as a bear trap.

Just as bears defecate in the woods and step in traps politicians diddle aides and pages and risk exposure and require full time plumbers (like Nixon's own) and trouble shooters to help bury the bodies. (like Chandra Levy, Mary Mahoney and Lori Klausutis and The DC Madam)

I swear, chris, the more I studied the case the more disgusted I became with that drunken tub of shit senator.

I really need to believe in divine retribution or karma or something, and it would disturb me greatly to believe that he will never have to pay for what he did.

The next morning he was showered and dressed and strolling casually outside his hotel, (after swimming across at the ferry crossing in the dark to distance himself from the scene) probably believing that his lawyers had either reported that Mary Jo drove away alone in Ted's car the night before, or reporting the accident and saying that one of them was in the car with her.

But, THEY were under the impression that BRAVE SIR TED was going to call the police, and the resulting confusion meant that no one did anything in the remaining time there was to rescue Mary Jo before she exhausted the air pocket in Ted's "constituent service buggy ".

I really hate him for that.

And, if not for that then certainly because he insists on rubbing our noses in his specialness. He insisted on remaining the Senator from Massachusetts for the next 38 years, and no amount of public outcry could shake his apparent sense of entitlement by virtue of the family's wealth and influence and/or his brothers' accomplishments and sacrifice. (Remember that the eldest, Joe Jr. died a war hero)

He absolutely refuses to bear any apparent shame despite the fact that the appearance of possible impropriety alone should have forced his resignation. (Imagine the horror if she had been driving and he had died, and then she accepted an offer to work for another US Senator!" GASP! That shameless goldbricking hussy!)

I have no doubt that he is in good standing with the Church that allows dead souls to be liberated from Purgatory (if enough cash is dedicated to the search for the door) and the people of MASS are a solid machine that guarantees his job as "senator for life".

So, that leaves only his conscience.

Well, that would be enough for me.

His despicable ability to quickly forgive himself and his unshakable sense of entitlement make him truly unique (like a pair of horns) in my eyes. (He no doubt basked in the fawners' support as they said "We need you down in Washington, Senator!! Please, don't even think about resigning!" "Okay, I won't. Let me see how my staff and the Kopechnes feel about it...are the cameras gone? This neck brace is starting to irritate me....")

He is truly one of America's most unsavory public figures, and if he found the cure for AIDS and cancer it still wouldn't be enough (in my view) to displace the number one footnote to his career, the negligent and needless death (but to save his career) of someone he could have saved, someone waiting, terrified in the dark who was no doubt praying that he'd be back with help, Mary Jo Kopechne.

The Kennedy/Ben Gurion/Eshkol Nuclear Exchange

Documents

Document 1. On 5 July (1963), less than ten days after Levi Eshkol became prime minister, Ambassador Barbour delivered a 3-page letter to him from President John Kennedy. Not since President Eisenhower's message to Ben Gurion, in the midst of the Suez crisis in November 1956, had an American president been so blunt with an Israeli prime minister. Kennedy told Eshkol that the American commitment and support of Israel 'could be seriously jeopardized' if Israel did not let the United States obtain 'reliable information' about Israel's efforts in the nuclear field. In the letter Kennedy presented specific demands on how the American inspection visits to Dimona should be executed. Since the United States had not been involved in the building of Dimona and no international law or agreement had been violated, Kennedy demands were indeed unprecedented. They amounted, in effect, to American ultimatum.

the revelation that U.S. President John F. Kennedy attempted to persuade Israel to abandon its nuclear program, and angry notes were exchanged between Kennedy and Israeli Premier David Ben-Gurion in 1963.

# The White House under Kennedy was “fixated” upon what to do about Israel’s nuclear weapons. However, none of the prominent Kennedy biographers, including Arthur Schlesinger and Theodore C. Sorensen mentioned the fact.[9]

President Johnson suppressed the January, 1965 Gilpatric report which called for tough anti-nuclear proliferation efforts, including against Israel, because he feared backlash from American Jews. In June 1965 Senator Robert F. Kennedy publicly called for many of the report’s recommendations, invoking his assassinated brother’s name, thus provoking Johnson to further bury the report.[11]

An example of revisionist history.

Fact: The Kennedy Administration was “fixated” upon preventing Israel from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Fact: After the Kennedy assassination, Johnson assisted Israel in their nuclear weapons program.
