Title: Malik Obama confirms his half-brother Barack grew up a Muslim

Apparently the Obamas of Kenya have been reading those scurrilous emails to which Barack likes to refer, because they have no doubt -- contrary to the claims of the Obama campaign, that the presidential candidate was raised a Moslem. They take that as a given.

As the Jerusalem Post reports, "Barack Obama's half brother Malik said Thursday that if elected his brother will be a good president for the Jewish people, despite his Muslim background. In an interview with Army Radio he expressed a special salutation from the Obamas of Kenya."

The Obama brothers' father, a senior economist for the Kenyan government who studied at Harvard University, died in car crash in 1982. He left six sons and a daughter. All of his children - except Malik -- live in Britain or the United States. Malik and Barack met in 1985.

In a remarkable denial issued last November that still stands on the official campaign website, Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs issued a statement explaining that "Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised as a Muslim, and is a committed Christian."

Apparently Malik Obama, himself a Muslim, had not read the press release.

Melanie Phillips is the most recent commentator to draw attention to the massive body of evidence that leaves no doubt that Barak Hussein Obama was born a Muslim (Islam is patrilineal) and raised a Muslim (so registered in school, acknowledging attending Islamic classes, reported accompanying his step-father to the mosque, and able to recite the Koran in the original Arabic).

Reuven Koret, Aaron Klein and Daniel Pipes have previously pointed to the attempts by Obama and his campaign to conceal the candidate's Muslim background. The well documented evidence draws upon the on-the-ground interviews by researchers in Indonesia and Kenya, published quotations of Obama's childhood friends and his school records, as well as the candidate's own autobiography.

It is not clear whether Barack Obama will now disown his half-brother Malik, or throw him under the campaign bus, for acknowledging that shared family background. In any case, some one should notify "Fight the Smear" tout de suite. Perhaps they can get him with the program.

Poster Comment:

Instead of attacking the source we ought to come to grips with the fact that Mr Obama lies a lot.

When are you going to wake up and stop posting propaganda. You're falling right into the neocon Hegelian dialectic trap.

Claim: Illinoise Senator Barack Obama is a Muslim who will not recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

And look where this kind of crap started..

Hillary's team has questions about Obama's Muslim background

Zionists are a far more dangerous enemy of America than any other radical group. Remember the U.S.S. Liberty. If if a Zionist says something chances are 99% that it is a lie. Those who worship in the synogague of satan have no qualms about passing of propaganda and sacrificing American lives for their torture state of Israel.

Misleading aspersions about the senator's background only make the perpetrators look bad.

Insight magazine managed to further degrade the public discourse with a scurrilous "report" alleging that Mr. Obama, as a child in Indonesia, attended a radical Islamic madrassa. In fact, Mr. Obama attended a public school in Jakarta that was predominantly Muslim -- no surprise given that Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country. Insight, whose piece was eagerly touted by Fox News Network, might have learned this if it had bothered to check its story rather than cravenly attributing the false report to "Hillary Clinton's camp," citing unnamed "sources close to the background check" that the New York senator supposedly conducted into Mr. Obama.

If you’ve ever wondered how agit-propaganda works, you might take a look at the latest case study from the Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s media empire – a bogus story about Barack Obama attending a Muslim “madrassah” when he was six years old, a smear that was then attributed to operatives of Hillary Clinton.

The shrewdness of Moon’s Insight magazine story is that it hit two enemies with one anonymously sourced stone, a strategy of slime and divide straight from the textbooks of a spy agency like the CIA.

Only in this case, it is not the CIA planting black propaganda in a foreign publication to undermine some U.S. enemy. It is Moon using his media outlets subsidized by his mysterious foreign money to manipulate and distort the U.S. political process, again.

The Insight “madrassah” story also turned out to be false. As CNN reported on Jan. 22, the Indonesian school that Obama attended as a child was not a “madrassah” where sometimes extreme forms of Islam are taught, but rather a well-kept public school in an upper-middle-class neighborhood of Jakarta.

Exclusive: Editor of Moonie-Owned Magazine Engages in Thinly-Veiled Call for Muslim Extremists to Assassinate Barack Obama The smear of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama by the Moonie-owned Insight magazine is just the latest example of Moonie smears against Democrats (Robert Parry has a list, click here also). Clinton spokesman described the situation as "an obvious right-wing hit job by a Moonie publication that was designed to attack Senator Clinton and Senator Obama at the same time." The smear was to falsely suggest that Obama had a radical Muslim upbringing and was supposedly concealing his past. The story is a double whammy in that it attributes the smear to Hillary Clinton's campaign. Robert Parry called it "a strategy of slime and divide straight from the textbooks of a spy agency like the CIA."

But the smears by Insight's editor Jeffrey T. Kuhner on Sean Hannity's radio show today were even more nefarious. Kuhner gave the Moonie party line. First, he denied that Moon or the Unification Church has anything to do with the operation of Insight magazine. In response to Wolfson's comment about Insight being "a Moonie publication," Kuhner made the following statement,

First of all, the fact that our owners are the Unification Church is irrelevant. It's religious bigotry. It's disgusting. We don't go on about the Washington Post's ownership or the New York Times' ownership. Our owners have nothing to do with our publication whatsoever. So the impression somehow that we are conducting religious séances here, it's just part of this liberal smear.

REALITY: Moon has dumped over $3 billion dollars into his media empire which includes the Washington Times, Insight, and the UPI wire service. Although church officials downplay their role in their media projects, Moon gives his followers a different story. For instance, in 1989, Moon told members of the Unification Church's Leadership Conference something different. Straight from the Messiah's mouth:

So please take spiritual dominion in your states. You can proclaim spiritually to the government leaders, "I am the elder brother, you are the younger brother." Teach them what you have learned. I invited many congressmen and senators to come to conferences to be educated. Though they may not proclaim openly, many of them support me. Through the Washington Times, Insight magazine, and The World and I, I have been preparing the foundation for you to influence America. . . I am building up a media center, including a television studio and a wire service. Why? Because I want to be rich? No--to educate Americans in God's truth.

Moon waning in Washington?

On January 17, 2007, Insight Magazine published an unsourced article claiming advisors to American presidential candidate U.S.Senator Hillary Clinton had discovered that rival candidate U.S. Senator Barack Obama was a former Muslim, had been educated in a Wahhabist "Madrassa" as a child in Indonesia, and were planning to make this a campaign issue.[1]

Over the next several days a number of conservative pundits and news programs on Fox News Channel picked up and repeated the story, including John Gibson of The Big Story, Gretchen Carlson and Steve Doocy, co-hosts of Fox & Friends, and Sean Hannity of Hannity & Colmes.

CNN reporter John Vause visited the Basuki School, a public elementary school, and found its staff in Western attire, its student body apparently consisting of Muslims, "Christians, Buddhists, also Confucian(s)".[2] The CNN story also quoted a spokesman for Clinton dismissing the allegation as "an obvious right-wing hit job" on both candidates.

Insight responded by denigrating CNN's investigation, claiming it did "not satisfy our standards for aggressive investigative reporting", while excusing themselves as being only responsible for supplying "political intelligence" on "a limited budget".[3] Insight editor Jeffrey T. Kuhner maintains that the article is "solid as solid can be".[4]

obama.wikia.com/wiki/Muslim_and_madrassa_school_rumors

WASHINGTON (ABP) -- Churchgoing Congregationalist Barack Obama is being forced once again to explain that he is not secretly a Muslim bent on furthering an international Islamic conspiracy by winning the presidency.

Jewish and other religious leaders have joined him in denouncing an e-mail campaign that has resurfaced in primary states in recent weeks. Various versions of the messages have spread since at least January of 2007, when the conservative online magazine Insight published an article that falsely asserted Obama attended a madrassa, or Islamic religious school, while he lived in Indonesia.

During a debate between Democratic presidential hopefuls Jan. 15 in Las Vegas, the Illinois senator was asked about the whisper-campaign rumors. The debate moderator, NBC Nightly News host Brian Williams, referred specifically to an e-mail NBC News had received. It said Obama had sworn his congressional oath of office on a Koran and that he refused to recite the Pledge of Allegiance or respect the United States flag.

“Well, look, first of all, let’s make clear what the facts are: I am a Christian. I have been sworn in with a Bible,” Obama said. “I pledge allegiance and lead the Pledge of Allegiance sometimes in the United States Senate when I’m presiding.”

Later, he said that “in the Internet age, there are going to be lies that are spread all over the place.… Fortunately, the American people are, I think, smarter than folks give them credit for. You know, it’s a testimony -- these e-mails were going out in Iowa. They were going out in New Hampshire. And we did just fine” in those states.

The same day, the leaders of nine of the nation’s largest Jewish organizations released a joint statement denouncing as “hateful” the e-mail rumor campaign.

“Attempts of this sort to mislead and inflame voters should not be part of our political discourse and should be rebuffed by all who believe in our democracy,” the statement said. It was released, apparently, in response to reports that the e-mails were sent to Jewish voters in early primary states.

The statement added, “Jewish voters, like all voters, should support whichever candidate they believe would make the best president.” Its signers included representatives of liberal and conservative nationwide Jewish organizations, including Nathan Diament of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations in America and David Saperstein of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism.

Reverend Sun Myung Moon's INSIGHT magazine spread the false rumor that Obama secretly attended an Islamic "madrassa" school as a six-year old. Apparently these false rumors prove that "Barack Hussein Obama" really is a closeted radical Muslim and unfit for office.

Per INSIGHT, Hillary Clinton's campaign was behind this damaging revelation. Just when you thought the statute of limitations was up on the right bleating, "It's Clinton's fault!", they bring it back with a twist -- "It's Clinton's fault. Hillary Clinton's fault."

The INSIGHT article cited no evidence or proof that this attack actually came from Clinton. Apparently, INSIGHT wants to divide and conquer the Democrats. They want Obama to think the Clintons are smearing him and cause dissent in the Democratic Party. They get to have their cake and eat it too. They get to smear Obama AND blame the dirty tricks on Clinton. So far, we aren't falling for it.

Last week a letter to the editor appeared in The Tuscaloosa News. The letter asks several questions about Obama's faith including if he is a Muslim and if he was sworn into public office using a Koran. The answer to both is no.

The letter is not the only indication of the misconception that Obama is a Muslim. Now, the Associated Press is reporting that Obama has stepped up efforts to correct the misconception. He tried to set the record straight again at a recent rally in South Carolina.

In fact, only one U.S. congressman has ever been sworn into office using the Koran. U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., is the first Muslim to serve in Congress. He used a copy of the Koran once owned by Thomas Jefferson.

But back to Obama. Here is some background on how these rumors got started. A Jan. 16, 2007 story in Insight magazine, which is owned by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, founder of the Unification Church, said Obama had gone to a madrassa in Indonesia. This story was quickly discredited by CNN, ABC-TV and the Associated Press. CNN went to Jakarta, Indonesia and debunked the Insight report just a week later.

That's right I do know. I saw it coming in the 80s and unfortunately for Americans it worked. When it comes to politics and politicians too many Americans suffer from the "don't ask don't tell" mentality.

How can say that with a straight face?

If you were standing in the middle of a road and a bus was coming at you and you had two choices... stand there and let the bus run over you or jump to the side knowing that if you do you will be in danger of falling off the edge of a steep cliff but that you might, just might, be able to hang on and either pull yourself backup or hang on long enough to be rescued, which one would you do? You allow McCain into office by not voting against him you have said you will stand there and let the bus run over and kill you.

Is it that hard to understand? You can be proud and say "I voted for a Ron Paul (or whomever) so you can't blame me for what McCain and the neocons have done to our country" Or you can vote for somebody you don't like knowing it will keep those like McCain (bush on steroids) from destroying our country and provide a better opportunity to stop and undo much of the damage that has been done because the other person is the lesser of the two evils.

If you chose to do former and McCain gets in and continues the neocon, atheist Ashkenazi, anti-American destruction of America, then you will be as much to blame as those who voted for McCain. You want to be idealistic then go right ahead. That is what makes it possible for those like Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro and the others to do what they have done.

Not a really good analogy when the "choice" (such as it is) is between two known quantities, both of whom report to, and bow down to, the same masters (and no, their masters are not the American people other than what mighty few might own some part of a Federal Reserve Bank). A better analogy is to compare it to being in a hijacked bus with an insane driver headed for a cliff at 100 mph and who has no intention of putting on the brakes. Suppose you could switch buses and get in one with another driver, one who is just a wee bit less insane than the first one but he is also headed toward a cliff, only this one is only going 90 mph with no intention of ever hitting the brakes. Does it make a lot of difference whose victim you choose to be? If you vote for McCain or Obama you are voting for being a passenger on the bus with an insane driver who is going to run you off a cliff and you will die whichever bus you're on.

I don't vote for the "lesser of two evils" because, for one thing, you can never be absolutely sure which is the lesser. I vote for someone I know isn't evil and then I know the responsibility for the downfall of the nation lies with people who support and vote for evil (as you readily admit you are willing to do). And you say you don't "support" Obama but willingly admit you are going to vote for him. What color is the sky on your home planet?
