We've all heard about the addition of polar bears to the Endangered Species Act (ESA). It seems the argument is that global warming will destroy their habitat. Well two can play that game. What would happen if the species homo sapien were added to the list of endangered species? Getting on the list should be easy. The environmentalists have done all the work for us. If you listen to them, global warming and a host of other ills will have destroyed humankind by next month if something isn't done immediately.
Furthermore, We all know that once a species goes on the ESA great care must be taken to avoid killing even a single individual of that species no matter the consequences to the species causing the harm (up to now, always assumed to be humans).
Consider too what happens to humans deprived of the resources they have worked to accumulate. Most can survive just fine, but as it turns out, some aren't able to cope and die. They die because they can't afford proper health care, food, or because out of despair, they become addicted to drugs and behave irrationally. The more of these earned resources, commonly referred to as money, that are taken from these individuals in the aggregate, the higher the percentage that are unable to make it on what is left over. In order to keep humans from dying, we must help all humans keep more of their own money!
Therefore, we would then be able to sue the government to cease all taxes on the grounds that they violate the ESA!
