Memories....ahhh, sweet memories.

Yes folks, believe it or not (short of a sudden terrorist attack around election day or some other cataclysmic event in the playbook of the Bushies), the George W. Bush era is swiftly coming to an end. Being that I am a somewhat reminiscent guy, I decided to cull images and random quotes from Bush's Administration for a new weekly column. There's so much stuff to sift through, that it will take weeks to get the memories out. The first photo may be my favorite Bush photo of them all. With that said, let the proverbs and photos speak for themselves!

"And so the fact that they purchased the machine meant somebody had to make the machine. And when somebody makes a machine, it means there's jobs at the machine-making place." --George W. Bush, Mesa, Arizona, May 27, 2008

"My job is a decision-making job, and as a result, I make a lot of decisions." --George W. Bush, The Decider, Lancaster, Pa., Oct. 3, 2007

"I can press when there needs to be pressed; I can hold hands when there needs to be -- hold hands." --George W. Bush, on how he can contribute to the Middle East peace process, Washington, D.C., Jan. 4, 2008

"Suiciders are willing to kill innocent life in order to send the projection that this is an impossible mission." --George W. Busy, Washington, D.C., April 3, 2007

"Thank you, your Holiness. Awesome speech." --George W. Bush, to Pope Benedict, Washington, D.C., April 15, 2008

"And there is distrust in Washington. I am surprised, frankly, at the amount of distrust that exists in this town. And I'm sorry it's the case, and I'll work hard to try to elevate it." --George W. Bush, interview on National Public Radio, Jan. 29, 2007

"Natural gas is hemispheric. I like to call it hemispheric in nature because it is a product that we can find in our neighborhoods." --George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., Dec. 20, 2000

LOL!

Can't leave out the other Bush:

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”—Samuel Adams

Excellent photos.

Can anyone post the Bush/Lieberman kiss that occurred after one of the State of the Union speeches - perhaps a year ago - when Bush threatened Iran?
