The suspects may have been hired by drug cartels to perform home invasions and assassinations in the U.S.

Police reports show that three men arrested in a Phoenix home invasion and homicide Monday may have been active members of the Mexican Army.

While on the J.D. Hayworth show, Phoenix Law Enforcement Association President Mark Spencer said that the men involved were hired by drug cartels to perform home invasions and assassinations.

The Monday morning incident at 8329 W. Cypress St. resulted in the death of the homeowner. Between 50 and 100 rounds were fired at the house.

Spencer said a police officer told him that one of the men captured said they were completely prepared to ambush Phoenix police, but ran out of ammunition.

He added that all were all dressed in military tactical gear and were armed with AR-15 assault rifles. Three other men involved in the invasion escaped.

home invasions and assassinations

Sounds more like the latter, not the former.

Who was the victim?

Police: Murder suspects not in Mexican military

After the arrests, one of the men - whom police have not identified - told a police officer that he had received some military training, said Sgt. Joel Tranter, a police spokesman.

"This was well planned.. They were heavily armed" says Joel Tranter of the Phoenix Police.

According to investigators, the supects were "trying to lure the officers deeper into the alley."

Police believe the only reason there was not a violent confrontation was the fact that the suspects failed to "properly manage their ammo."

In other words - they ran out of bullets.

One Phoenix Police spokesperson disputes the report, saying the suspects dumped their gear and were just trying to escape.

On the other hand, that does sound like the Mexican army.

Not a clue, but it's time to cede Phoenix back to Mexico. The place appears to be a dump.

The Mexican government kicked out 90,000 men because they worked for the drug cartels. They formed an assassination gang called the Zetas which works for the cartels. I have heard that they have training camps inside Mexico for the young sons of illegal immigrants to America who were born in the USA and have citizenship.

In Mexico, the police and military are more dangerous and corrupt than the drug gangs. Mexican police and military checkpoints exist to allow armed potbellied thugs with uniforms and badges to search cars for any nice and shiny object that they'd like to pocket and take home.
