Wow, Paloma Blanca hit #1 in several countries! And, "the debut single "Little Green Bag" reached #16 position on the Cash Box magazine chart and #21 in the Billboard Top 100 in the United States..[1] By 1972 the band had sold over 5 million records.[2]" (wiki)

And, the guy playing the recorder is fantastic! Did you hear him playing two parts at once?

And, the chick playing the gold top Les Paul decided on P-90 soapbar pickups instead of humbuckers! She's one heavy kitty!

It's hard to believe that they could get such a great sound with no guitar cords or amps on stage! Of course, in 1975 musicians were a lot more talented back then! I oughta know! I was on the road then!

What an amazing set of pipes he had!

He could sing, gotta give him that.

Of course the music was all studio katz.

With who?

I watched Tom Hooper from Grapes of Wrath play live outside at a cafe last night.

He was really good he sang Piano Man by Billy Joel and did an acoustic version of Tainted Love by Soft Cell and more. He has alot of talent with just a guitar and a harmonica.

With one of the many show bands that were living the good life before gas prices and MADD killed the nightclub/showroom biz. (except for Vegas, AC and FLA resorts now)

The best known act I went out with was The Spiral Starecase. Their one hit was I LOVE YOU MORE TODAY THAN YESTERDAY. (They were the best known but kinda stinko, musically speaking.)

Wow! Very cool. That must have been a great experience.

Here it is live:

Pat Upton, formerly of the Spiral Starecase, singing More Today Than Yesterday.
