Then i went and saw a step-by step deal on how to use VIRTUALDUBMOD and it listed, about 21 steps. Given the fact that whatever it is always freezes up people computers and i couldnt use it, i removed it and just sent the vid to a friend of mine who will convert the VOB and upload it. I appreciate your help but i just dont have the knowledge, interest or time investment thats necessary to learn all that. wasn't tryin' to be rude. we had a 911 event today so i was gone most all of friday and sat.

The other way around. Cream broke up because Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker hated each other. Eric Clapton started hanging out out and playing with Stevie Winwood and then Ginger Baker kind of showed up. Then Ric Grech showed up and history was made. If you've never read it, Clapton's autobiography was pretty interesting.

"Blind Faith" was the first album done by Clapton and Baker following the break-up of Cream. One of the greatest Rock Albums ever made. Depending upon who you read it is the best - the other that vies for the title is Sgt. Peppers. Although "Dark Side of The Moon" certainly deserves to be in the hunt.

One of the "Jewels" of my record collection (yes I still have records) is a Japanese pressing of the Album with the original (non-airbrushed) "R Rated" cover on extra heavy virgin vinyl. (I also have one with the original cover for "Electric Ladyland".)

Like i said i appreciated your help, tried to download what you said and i explained what happened thereafter. but didnt have too much time to invest otherwise. i have since bought a firewire for 30 bucks cable which avoids the entire problem of VOBs, etc.

Jack Bruce started off as a big band double bassist and then played in a few blues bands once he switched over to electric bass. So I guess he would be one with the jazz background. He met Clapton when both of them played for John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers. Bruce played with Manfred Mann prior to joining Cream. Ginger Baker was a member of the Graham Bond Organization, but then so was Jack Bruce. The Graham Bond Organization was a huge English blues band. Baker is real big into jazz and fusion today, but I don't know his background prior to Graham Bond and I'm not sure if he was still with them or not prior to joining cream. As for Clapton, his interest has been in the blues since before he began playing his first guitar. As for the Yardbirds, even though they had the Pop hit For Your Love, they were a blues band. Hell The Yardbirds is where Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page got their big breaks as well. Clapton played for John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers prior to Cream. It was his work with the Bluesbreakers that made him world famous.

Good answer - and not as clear cut, but what I had in mind was, despite any other gigs, Jack Bruce was the only one who had previously played in a Rock band, Baker was known as a Jazz drummer (there is an apocryphal story which I have not been able to verify where he one-upped Mr. Mouth Buddy Rich), and of course Clapton is known as a Blues player. However the synergy of Cream, whatever disagreements they had, was something special. We now return to our regularly scheduled Cigar.
