Norman the pug went downhill so fast I had no other course but to put him to sleep today. He was unconscious for 24 hours, stopped eating, and barely drank anything when he woke up for a minute. He had kidney disease, some sort of tumor pressing on his heart, possible liver problems, and epilepsy. He was barely breathing and his heart was erratic. I decided not to torment him anymore.

What a cutie. You were a loving owner of Norman's. Though he drew the short straw on life, it was a heavenly short stay for Norman while he was here with you.
awwwww..so sorry for you, Bob...i know how much you loved Norman. may you find some solace in knowing that you gave him a wonderful home and life.
Bob...you made one of the most courageous decisions you could make on behalf of your beloved friend. I have had to do the same several times down through the years, and it NEVER gets any easier. My heart breaks for you...
