Broadly speaking, measurement is amplification, inevitably with some interference. Amplification and interference are entropic, and this entropy of measurement exists independently of consciousness. Machines can measure things whether or not people are still around. Bacteria make measurements and calculate where to move. Trees measure climate and rainfall and calculate their growth rings. Sea cliffs measure tides and calculate their erosion patterns.

I could also say it, and realize it, using only the sense of touch, if I was blind from birth, I suppose.

The point of it is perhaps that the supposed "all-seeing eye" may have the IQ of a bacteria or virus.

Okay, so when my gas tank gets empty and I need to buy more gas to fill up the tank, it's so because of a failure of my imagination.

But I like the 'time no longer exists' thing. Maybe we can implement that law on a Saturday night and make sure no one changes it no more.
