Historic win for NYC Univision

Takes July news sweeps in all three key demos

By Paul J. Gough

Aug 4, 2008, 06:36 PM ET

NEW YORK -- Univision's local New York affiliate has taken the market's July sweep in all three key demo news races for the first time in history.

WXTV-Univision 41 won in adults 18-49 at 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts against the English-language competition on the other stations, according to data from Nielsen Media Research. It also won weekday primetime in adults 18-49 against the English-language stations as well as adults 18-34.

In weekday primetime, Univision's 174,000 viewers in adults 18-49 was just able to edge out the 173,000 for WNYW-TV, the local Fox affiliate. WNBC came in third during the week with an average 120,000 viewers.

For the 6 p.m. time period, the race was much more one-sided. Univision averaged 123,000 demo viewers to WABC-TV's 87,000, WCBS's 52,000 and Fox's 40,000. It was much the same at 6:30 p.m., where "Noticiero Univision" averaged 122,000 adults 18-49 to 83,000 for ABC's "World News With Charles Gibson," 59,000 for "NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams" and 54,000 for the "CBS Evening News With Katie Couric."

Things get a bit closer but not much more at 11 p.m., where "Noticias Univision 41" averaged 172,000 adults 18-49 to WABC's 155,000, WNBC's 138,000 and WCBS's 106,000.

If you really stop and think about this story, it's a little window into the population and cultural shift that is going on all around us. Thinking this story over when I first picked it up today, it truly began to dawn on me: we deserve this, and we are only going to get more of it. This happened in about two generations. Nobody is doing anything to slow it down. It's being accelerated. The two media-selections of this presidential election will ensure that.

“A Spanish-language TV station has swept all key demographic audience categories in New York’s TV ratings race regardless of language, despite the facts that the New York TV market is barely 20 percent Hispanic and that four commercial TV stations (the affiliates of Univision, TeleFutura, TV Azteca, and Telemundo) compete for that 20 percent vs. the six major commercial stations that compete for the 80 percent, non-Hispanic portion of the New York TV audience. In addition, the 6 pm local news and 6:30 pm network news were by far New York’s most watched early news programs on Sunday, August 13 (yesterday). And Univision 41 also won New York’s prime-time ratings race (8 pm to 11 pm) among viewers aged 18 to 34 and 18 to 49. “

Univision makes clean sweep of New York City Sunday demos.

This happened in about two generations.

Here's the real scary part, buckeye. Now that critical mass has been reached, this mess begins to kick into hyper speed. In 20 years, white Americans will be strangers in our own nation. And the worst part for me is that some former allies are cheering this destruction. As it turns out they were Trojan horses, posing as Americans when actually they were multiculturists. I hope they and their family members suffer pain before mine do.

I was stunned for a moment, too. And then I started thinking. By the way, let's take a guess as to who all those FOX channel watchers are?

I think it will be "interesting times" (in Chinese proverb/curse terms) as the Zionists attempt to rule over this motley crew they encouraged.

I think once we go to a minority "traditional" population the Zionazis will have a more difficult time continuing the imperial games on behalf of their favorite little country abroad.

For one thing, the tax base won't be there anymore to finance the games. This is already beginning to happen to them.

Isn't NYC called Puerto Rico North? Doesn't surprise me at all.

This happened in about two generations. Nobody is doing anything to slow it down.

A man should act, day-to-day, face-to-face, as he imagines he would in the world he wishes to bring into being.

Even at its best, the purpose of argument and critique is to reveal truth, not to create it.

Critique, critical thinking, logic, have all jumped the shark; because our civilization values them so highly (they did serve us well for a long time after all, particularly in the natural sciences) our civilization, too, has jumped the shark.

Critique today will get you nowhere. Better logic, better evidence widely promulgated, and appeal to principle will not improve things. Today, critique serves but two useless purposes, both of which nevertheless can provide a degree of personal satisfaction. First, it is used for the defense of orthodoxy. Second, people like to argue for the sake of arguing. So, argue and critique, if you wish, about 911, chemtrails, etc.; the man with the keys to the executive washroom is perfectly happy to let you do so.

The creative, inspired, and useful thing will be obvious and logical in hindsight.

And some crazy person may have already said it.

Obama is the wafer-thin mint.

I don't know how much you've traveled lately, but this is in many American cities. Illegal immigration and our guest worker programs are changing our culture permanently.

As it turns out they were Trojan horses, posing as Americans when actually they were multiculturists.

It's long been known that foreigners made better enforcers when the ruling class had decided to bring about change. But my question for you tonight is what steered them away from the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill? Obviously with Mexican AM radio, there was a much larger phone-in pool from their side than ours. What really turned them away, even if temporarily?
