Do you have anyone on Bozo, loddy? I was having a problem getting Latest Comments to open yesterday, or the day before. I only had one on Bozo. When I took the Bozo off, it was back to lightening speed.
Oh....and I also eliminated tag lines--I did that first--but it seems like in the past, it was the Bozo that was the culprit.
Yup, I just cleared mine and everything is back to normal.

I was having trouble getting the 'latest comments' page to load and thought it might be a problem with the 'ignore thread' thread function.
I went to 'setup' - 'content filters' and noticed it was showing 'no threads ignored' when I should have been showing a bunch of the OoooBama! threads shitcanned.
I went back to 'latest comments', ignored a thread, went back to 'setup''content filters' hit 'unignore thread' for the thread I just put on ignore, and it's been fine since then.

About 25 years ago I rented my first apartment with a washer/dryer hookup, and immediately set about scouring want-ads for used set. After half a day of wasted time I went to check out a pair for like $75, figuring on wasting more time. Turns out they were high-end Norge units, ran beautifully. On AC, of course. Had to change a bearing in the dryer after a year or so, no biggie. After three years I bought my house, Norges wouldn't fit and there was already a W/D there, so I gave them to a friend. He is still using them, those things were built to aircraft standards or something. Amazing.
BTW, a small LP/LNG motor is actually more efficient than electric, but that would only matter in a true free enterprise economy.

Or even a reasonable facsimile. Maybe I should become a neocon, then I could just say something and then I'd believe it. Imagine the possibilities.
Tempting as it is, self-delusion has never played out to a happy ending.
