Liberty is not a means to a higher political end. It is itself the highest political end. To me, the music today doesn't compare to that of the mid to late 60's, 70's and early to mid 80's. Not to say there hasn't been some good music since then but overall it wouldn't rate close to the best of that time period in my opinion. I will make an exception though for David Gates (David Gates and Bread). He came out with a song in 2002 iirc that is very special, the name of it is Find Me. I have posted the video (and the lyrics) on here.

In a way, there was a transitional age that was robbed of it's potential. I do see little stars shooting through though. You don't have to be a music 'expert' to know what talent is.
