I don't have to worry about 'lashing out' and this is a projection of yours' that this pet wedge issue of racism really is. Racism is discredited, and has been deinstitutionalized in the U.S. because of that and it drives you nuts. It is you who is the old dog barking from the porch at what you fear and don't understand, not me. I don't usually spend time dealing with harebrained nonsense like yours' but this is an election year, and perhaps as good a time as any to indulge in doing this again. I have posted a long time and have seen allot of people in various forums with your racist hate and bait outlook on things. You use the term "lash out" to project the inference I react out of fear. I do not. I do not fear nor hate racists, that is something I leave to them as it is their realm in life; the market in spreading fear and hate.
Explain 'preferences' in that case. Racism cuts both ways and is not always a "put them down" thing. More often it is a "we want you, not them" thing, which is what the lawsuits always say when claiming discrimination based on race. Affirmative Action is simply racism coded into law. It is being re-institutionalized by liberals and taken down state-by-state by Ward Connerly. To say that racism has been "de-institutionalized" in the US is a lie.
The hilarious part of AA for me is, when given the option, I'd NEVER choose a black Dr, lawyer, contractor or check out person. I'll take the best and brightest and I can't be sure with any of the above. (seriously, do my checkout test sometime. THEY are perpetually confused and have lines twice as long as white kids. Sorry if this offends some of the more PC folks on board, but it's true 99.9% of the time)
That is the real problem with so-called "preferences". You don't know if someone got something because they are talented or because they were given something because of the color of their skin or their gender or both. "Preferences" also take talented people and tar them with the stigma of "You only got it because you are X" and leads to "Token" people. "We need a black" Current law cares NOT about talent ... Government demands that ability to DO the job not be looked at ... and this is not institutionalized racism, sexism, and discrimination how?
