i'm neither uptight or a prude, far from it actually, but i do have class and social sensibility. public display of affection with hand holding, hugs, even kissing is fine, but the hands on the buttocks crosses the line of decency.

Okay, I never saw him doing that. What I see is he hand about to grab her waist and then, without really touching her, dropping a few inches. So what I saw was really intent, not deed.

The only First Lady I know of who promotes reading is Laura Bush and that's because she is a teacher librarian by profession - well, duh, how surprising is that - not exactly a fake and phoney cause that she pretends to have an interest in - ahem - like, for example, Mr. and Mrs. living on high while brother lives in a grass hut "humanitarian" Obama.
Frankly I doubt you have ever heard Laura Bush interviewed. She's quite articulate and self-confident, despite her shyness, and she has a nice under stated sense of humor.
I will not argue with you that Laura is married to an imbecile, studied or not. However, I think Laura Bush has been an excellent First Lady ambassador for America. I'm not alone in that assessment - polls showed that the public held her on high - Laura Bush was ranked in the high 70's in popularity at the same time that a Dem controlled Congress could not break 20% and W was barely holding on to 30+%.
Michele Obama is not First Lady material. She and her mindset represents a very small segment of America.
Yes, I did watch Barbie Bush on a lengthy C-Span interview and on other occasions. She looks and she sounds as dumb as her hubby, only she says 'just read' all the time while the hubby keeps saying 'rekinize'. Oh, and I listened to that awful, tasteless, gross, supposedly humoristic sketch she delivered to some DC gathering... It rivaled W's humor in looking for Iraq's WMD's under his desk.
