The introduction is about to begin.
Let's hear first impressions from everyone as this is happening.
Well... McCain just finished talking. Anyone? Anyone?
McCain presented her qualifications as follows:
- she's got executive experience - she's got kids - she is or was a union member and so is her hubby - she's exactly what she needs - she's exactly what the country needs
If you really want to know the details, I didn't exactly 'watch' this. I was on the toilet but the TV was on. I am watching now because I'm still on a break before I go back to my study.
Palin's first veto was used to block legislation that would have barred the state from granting benefits to the partners of gay state employees. In effect, her veto granted State of Alaska benefits to same-sex couples. The veto occurred after Palin consulted with Alaska's attorney general on the constitutionality of the legislation.[33]
She is beautiful, smart, talented, honest, a Christian, and someone who would restore some honor to the office of v.p. Lord knows it needs it.
But lodwick, doesn't all that make you wonder why she would agree to be John McCain's running mate? I mean, unless she believes he is going to die the day after the election, in which case she becomes president. They can't have much in common (assuming that all that stuff about her is true).

Remember that Reagan despised GHWB, but 'they' told him to select him for his veep.
And then tried to cap Ron shortly thereafter.
I cannot figger out who told McKook to select SP, or why.
I'm going to vote for her. At this stage of the game, what could it hurt?
what it hurts is that your vote is an endorsement of a corrupt, fraudulent system. where's your big head? ;)
the fact that Sara Palin is good looking doesn't alter the fact that she's a pro-war republican for starters.
You make good points. She is a very nice looking woman but that, in and of itself, does not qualify anyone to be president. She sounds good on some other issues too but I have to wonder why she would accept the offer from McCain.
can you imagine if months ago Paul had unveiled her as his VP? talk about a winner!
Yes. And if Ron won the nomination I could have had someone to vote for. As it is I don't have anyone to vote for. I think this is the first presidential election since I have been eligible that I am even debating about even going to the polls at all. And if I do go it won't be to vote for president because if I heard correctly the Constitution Party didn't make it on the ballot here. Maybe I can vote for someone running for the House or something but I am not sure at this point if I will even bother.
