Sarah Palin, Republican Vice-Presidential Nominee, Plugs Romney, Paul — But Not McCain — In MTV Interview Published by MTV News on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 1:58 pm.

Back in February, on Super Tuesday, MTV News Street Teamer Dani Carlson did a Flixwagon interview with Alaska Governor — and now presumptive Republican vice-presidential candidate — Sarah Palin, who had some interesting things to say about energy policy and the “party machinery.”

In this interview, Palin calls controversial Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul “cool.” “He’s a good guy,” she added. “He’s so independent. He’s independent of the party machine. I’m like, ‘Right on, so am I.’ ”

So what's she doing getting chummy and on a ticket with somebody who is Ron Paul's exact opposite on every single issue?

That's a good question. How could someone who likes Ron Paul, who is supposedly on the same page, run with someone who is almost the exact opposite of Ron? Doesn't make sense.

She evidently has the stones to get in the game and hope to make a difference for the better.

If she's not there, she can't do anything for our country.

She's not stupid, this lady is a player who is ready for the big show.

I hope that she thinks she might make a difference for the better. She will never do that as long as McCain is alive though. Now if he keeled over the day after the election leaving her at the top of the ticket she very well could make some difference.

Not stupid? No, I don't think she is stupid and she may well be ready for the big show. But I have to wonder about anyone who would accept the offer from McCain because anyone who has paid any attention should know that he is about as un-American as Obama is. It would have been a splendid thing if Ron had gotten the nomination and if Ron chose her as his running mate I could be enthusiastic. But I can't be all that enthused about anyone who would run with McCain.

If McCain picked her, you can bet she's on board with the neoconservatives.
