Everyone is struggling to come up with the 'one word' that would best describe Sarah. I just found it:

REPTILIAN

If anyone can find a better one-word, let's hear it.

On the McCain front, he is expected to say: "I got scars but Obama don't."

Other news breaking on the MSNBC: Buchanan is turning completely senile and rushing back into the GOP fold. The one-word for Buchanan: PATHETIC.

For 'personal news', I had a very interesting experience with an illegal immigrant in Hazelton, today. Actually, there were 2 of them and a baby.

Did RP major in botox too? I thought he was a medical doctor.

Hint: Sarah might have spent more time working on her botox degree than RP did geting his MD. Not clear who's the true brainiac of the 'ticket', given McCain's stellar intellectual accomplishments.

Palin is only 44. that's a huge assumption on your part about her using botox.

I didn't say that she used botox. I alleged that her college degree was in botox but I was wrong. It was in sports journalism.

The GOPs are playing some tear-jerking video on Johnny McCain.

I believe I hear about this heart-breaking story of Johnny's dad, having his boy prisoner in Hanoi, the city he had just ordered 'carped-bombed'. Oh... the tragedy!!! I needed a beach towel to wipe my tears.

Clinton/Obama would have been a winner by a landslide.

But no, you dem white guilters had to have Obingo and now that little caper may saddle us with McKooK.

If McKooK wins you better be here to take your share of the blame.

Im just stating the way I see it. Im voting Baldwin or McCain. But I think McCains pick changed the race and gave him a huge advantage. I talked to two women today I never met before. They both loved Sarah Palin. One was a Hillary supporter.

good lord. pathetic. you too have fallen for the lesser of two evils because mcCain picked a woman you find attractive. hellooooo, palin is a cheerleader for the hawks and an advocate of the false WOT. and let's not even mention that she must be a promoter of open borders like her boss.

Palin is attractive.

She may or may not be. But there is big difference between what Obama will bring to the nation and what McCain will bring. I think both roads suck. But I think the McCain road is less dangerous.

If Obama wins it is a whole new paradigm. More multiculturalism. All those liberals in charge which I have zero in common with other then Obama allegedly ending the war. Which I don't believe he will do. At least with McCain things will pretty much stay the same. Which isn't the best I admit. But in my mind it seems better then where Obama would take us.

I don't think McCain is going to win or lose by one vote. So I will probably still vote for Baldwin. But as the election draws near and we actually have to make a final decision. I may give my vote to McCain.

One thing that I respect about McCain and I know they are making to big a deal about it is that he stayed in a POW camp instead of coming home. That does tell us something about his character. McCain is a known quantity. We know what he is and what he would likely do. Most of us here disagree with McCain on most issues for sure. But this Obama character is still an open book. He has rhetoric of what he says he wants to do. But we really don't know what this guy is about. I think his record is even more ambiguous then Sarah Palins. They are different. I find more in common with McCain then Obama.

Many here have said they like Sarah Palin and would like her on the top of the ticket. A McCain victory would make it possible for Palin to rise and potentially be a force of "good" to be reckoned with in the future. I mean honestly take Palins record and tell me what it is that you disagree with about her. Do you agree or disagree with her postitions more or less then Obama and Biden. I would be willing to bet that you would find more common ground with Palin. I also like her family. I like the fact that she has to deal with things that us regular folk have to deal with.

Also the fact the the people of Alaska chose her to be their governor. The people of Alaska are the most libertarian minded people of any state. I have a friend in Alaska that I haven't seen since the early nineties. I intend to calling him and asking if he has an opinion on this Sarah Palin from an Alaskans perspective.

In an attempt to keep this post short and to the point I should simply state that my opinion of Sarah Palin has become negative because I could understand someone being unaware of the very dangerous Israeli influence in America, or even hesitant to make position statements related to Israel or Jews because of the anti-semite tag, but a Governor of a State flying an Israeli flag in an official government office cannot claim ignorance. [noone222]

Sarah Palin is so dirty she should be declared a biohazard, otherwise she wouldn't have been selected.

I find it very hard to understand why so called pro-life politicians have no problem supporting Israel considering the state of Israel supports abortion on demand...

A Flag in Her Office

Posted by Charles Featherstone

So, Sarah Palin proudly displays an Israeli flag in her office in Juneau, and her "Pentecostal" faith makes supporting the state of Israel a central tenet of belief, possibly even more important than the Gospel itself (you know, that odd little fact that Jesus Christ was crucified and raised to redeem humanity from its sinfulness). As the Washington Times reports:

Mrs. Palin was baptized as a teenager at the Wasilla Assembly of God Church. She frequently attends the Juneau Christian Center, which is also part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God. Her home church is the Church of the Rock, an independent congregation.

"Historically, the Assemblies of God have been dispensationalists, which means they believe in 'the rapture' of Christians that takes them out of the world," said Mr. Matthews. "Central to that position is a very strong support for Israel. It's integral to their view of both prophecy and politics. Denying Israel is almost like denying the faith."

This got me to thinking. Flying the flag of another country, pledging allegiance and loyalty to another polity, this is not the behavior of politicians in a powerful, world ruling empire -- it's what people in conquered nations, colonies and satellite states do. I can imagine Czech communist party officials in, say, 1980, having the Soviet flag in their office, of groveling before the USSR and the CPSU. No serious politician in Moscow (the head of the Soviet-Czechoslovak Friendship Society is not serious) would fly or wear the Czech flag -- it was clear how power flowed, from Moscow to Prague. Or Senegalese politicians in the 1950s pledging their loyalty and love to France, but no one in Paris caring much about Senegal.

Now granted, there was no theology outlining the Moscow/Prague relationship (although Marxism is a kind-of secular premillennial dispensationism), nor in the French colonialism of Africa. I am also not a dispensationist (indeed, it is heretical) and I know that being a dispensationist is not a requirement for pledging allegiance to the state of Israel. Still, it's odd that the leaders of the allegedly powerful United States stumble over themselves swear their loyalty to another nation-state, another polity, with such fervor.
