Television pundits, talk radio personalities and blogs have been buzzing with speculation about a last-minute VP switch for the party. On Fox's "Hannity & Colmes" last night, Sean Hannity asked Gov. Ed Rendell, D-Pa., "Will they replace Biden with Hillary?" Rendell replied, "No, absolutely not. Joe Biden is here to stay. Next vice president of the United States." However, according to recent polls, Biden's popularity is not as high as Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. Results from a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. national survey released yesterday have Obama and McCain virtually tied – Obama has 49 percent while McCain has 48 percent. But Sarah Palin has surged ahead of Biden on popularity with 55 percent to his 44 percent. Her favorability rating is also 6 percent higher. Following Sen. "Make no mistake about this," Biden said at a Nashua, N.H., rally. "Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Let's get that straight. She's a truly close personal friend, she is qualified to be president of the United States of America, she's easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America, and quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me. But she's first rate, I mean that sincerely, she's first rate, so let's get that straight." Many Clinton supporters pushed for an Obama/Clinton ticket following the primaries, arguing she would help Obama win over Hispanics and blue-collar voters. Rather than vetting Clinton, Obama announced Biden as his running mate two days before the Democratic National Convention. Now some are speculating about what could happen to Obama's quest for the presidency if Biden is dropped from the ticket. The "Sean Hannity Show" featured a reader poll on its website asking, "If Biden gets yanked, is it over?" Approximately 6.49 percent said "No, he could win," while 22.08 percent said it depends on other circumstances. A full 71.43 percent responded, "Yes! Pack it up."

Too late. The brouhaha raised by such a move will swamp any "benefits". Obama will look bad on any number of levels - and his vulnerability - not experience, but judgement will again be highlighted. Why would Hillary accept? Like James Webb who passed, the SS Obama's maiden voyage is fraught with pitfalls, including NOT winning. This just seems the mirror image of the Dems speculating Palin woud be dropped.
Farah's, Hannity's, and your concerns for the Dem ticket are touching but America's temporary honeymoon with hockey mum will soon be over and things will get back to normal.

I agree - and so do the Demoncrats who are challenging his citizenship in court. Very astute and I think you may well be on to something. If that occurs most of the women who would vote for McLame/Palin would go back to Hitlery as she is closer to their view - remembering that their "1" issue is free and easy abortion which Hitlery supports. Also the lesbians will vote for one of their own.

All McCain needs to guarantee victory is to promise Hillary a high ranking cabinet position. It won't be Sec. of State, though, that's probably already been promised to Lieberman, with Randy Scheunemann from PNAC as Depty SOS.

You are correct. Just ask Former Senator George McGovern that one. Obama is going to win the election with Joe Biden on the ticket. None of this hype is fatal to Obama. All this means is the tone and intensity of the campaign is going to get hotter and nastier.
I don't think so. I really don't but don't take that as support for McCain because it isn't. I don't think McCain is the lesser of two evils I just believe that he was picked as heir apparent right after Bush was "re-elected" and nothing is going to change that.

However, I am wondering if that was not intentional. Biden was such an "off the wall" choice that it caught a lot of people off guard. However, IF you wanted to poison the ticket it was a good choice. Now, assuming one is dealing with a conservative base revolting against the choice of a McLame a McLame loss to Oh'Bummer would likely cause a surge of interest in reclaiming the GOP by the base - which is much more conservative than the liberal McNutz. So, in order to maintain control, while creating more unrest in the Black Community, you could saddle Oh'Bummer with a real loser for VP, blame the loss on him and not Oh'Bummer, and pacify the GOP base by (s)Electing McLame. This makes the reasoning for the selection of a much more telegenic Sarah Palin more understandable - a "Bush" Republican Endless War supporter to keep the Military Industrial Complex "in the money". I am speculating, but the actual powers (Rotchilds and Rockefuckers) are Machiavellian enough to think in these kinds of convoluted manipulations. Just speculating mind you. (I'm hoping that if I ping enough posters, I'll get an answer to this question:) I vaguely recall someone on LP saying something about how according to the a pattern of the history of US elections, it is extremely improbable that the Republicans will win again this time. Can anyone please tell me what that is again? I suspect that the puppeteers will give the masses a new guard as appeasement. Of course the master plan will not change regardless of who the puppets are. I don't like to bet, but if I had to, I'd bet on Obama. Because he's a Democrat. According to the pattern.

Another possibilty is that if the Republicans release a copy of Obama's Kenyan birth certificate or his Indonesian passport, the Democrats can run ads saying that it is too late to take Obama's name off the ballot but Barack's electors will promise to vote for Hillary in the electoral college.

Electronic voting has a high likelihood of being rigged. I think the whole election fiasco of 2000 was planned so that they could claim we need electronic voting.

According to the pattern. Up until the last week or two I would have agreed. Given that the (s)Election is largely a con job with the winner predetermined by the elites that would have seemed the logical conclusion. They need a Democrat to notch forward the other half of the control equation i.e., the socialist superstate - Hellth Care etc., .... However, the dynamics have changed and the desire/need to push the war agenda may have trumped the socialist agenda. My other thought is that they are going to try to make an overt takeover and push us all the way into a full blown Fascist Dictatorship. The ol' Crystal Ball is a bit murky at the moment and things seem to be in flux. Stay Tuned.
