Destro, steel doesn't fail under fire conditions.

That's why it's used for woodstoves, combustion engines, frying pans, and other things that involve fire.

Of course, that is a most excellent question since steel is already fireproof. I guess you'd have to ask them. I wouldn't expect an honest answer.

What do you mean ask them? Are you telling me you think fireproofing of steel just recently invented? Fireproofing steel goes back decades before 9/11. The answer for why fireproofing is that the heat from a fire weakens the steel's strength so steel beams needs to be fire proofed.

Disagree on what? Are you telling me that fireproofing steel is actually not really required? You should lobby to change the fire codes that have been around for decades mandating fireproofing of steel because doing so can save a fortune on construction costs!!!
