There are 4 possible situation.

1 - McCain shows up, debate
2 - McCain shows up, no debate
3 - McCain stays in Wash, no debate
4 - McCain stays in Wash, debate

I predict #4, giving the McCains' efforts to turn this entire process into a 3- ring circus, with McCain playing 'zee maverick' to Palin's bearded lady.

As for who benefits, McCain's now a loser whether he shows up or not.

She can't even answer a direct question from Couric without resorting to one of a list of ten talking points. She's a miserable failure as a leader and knowlegeable person. It would be a slaughter. The problem for Obama would be doing it nicely.

To be honest I haven't watched any of her appearances ... I'm not interested. I think they're all the same ... puppets of bankers. I just figured if she could stand on her own it'd be a smart move to put the two non-experienced puppets up against each other.
