Hey, I'm working on it. I confess I still have a soft spot for Bobby Jimmy, Too $hort, and the Geto Boys. But lemme tell ya something. I also used to listen to Pink Floyd. And today, I literally can't stand 'em. I can't believe I listened to that shit. If forced to choose, I would choose rap. My new spic neighbors occasionally treat the neighborhood to nigger music and the sound of their TV -- aural displays like that are status displays among Hispanics -- but at least I don't have to listen to Floyd. True. It's music to shoot others by. Rap makes me wanna shoot myself. Immortal Technique is about the only rapper I can stand and even then in limited doses of about five minutes. The older I get, the further I go into the old scratchy records from 60, 70, 80 years ago. I just have less patience for noise as I approach my fifth decade in this vale of beers.
