Title: Gov. Blunt Statement on Obama Campaign’s Abusive Use of Missouri Law Enforcement

JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his critics.

“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.

“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

“This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.

“Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts - not a free society.”

If that's the case, then why Obama? He seems to be the greater evil.

Who cares? Is there any plan anywhere that would make a good choice of McInsane or Obambam?

If you go back over the last, oh, say 10 elections, can you point to ANY choice that would have changed what has happened? Heck, let's make that 20 elections.

Any choice that would have taken over and changed the United States?

Straigtened out the Federal Reserve problem, cleaned up the Constitution, fixed the tax system so it is fair, and would have done away with the military industrial complex?

Come on; name just one choice that would have changed things.

No matter who gets elected, nothing changes.

1 John 5:19; We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the (power of the) wicked one.

There is all of the proof that anyone could ever ask for that the above verse from the Bible is correct, but most can not accept this truth. They have to wallow in the filth, and vote for what they consider to be the lessor of two evils.

So, please, let me repeat; who cares?

When a man who is honestly mistaken hears the truth, he will either quit being mistaken or cease to be honest. ++++++++++ Attention, Shrub; A life of evil is ultimately a life of wretchedness.

Barry Goldwater, 1964.

The Great Society would never have come about.

Barry Goldwater, 1964.

I forgot him. But then;

suffered a resounding defeat when he ran for president.

So what is the difference? What his failed election did do was lead to Reagan's election, and today, most understand how bad that was for America.

Anyone such as Barry Goldwater, or Ron Paul, IS NOT GOING TO BE ALLOWED IN OFFICE.

All other things aside, you know that! And if there were a fluke, like a klitch in the control of the vote counting machines, bullets are cheap. And there is always someone available to pull the trigger.

Well, you asked for an inflection point; I've found that's a big one.

Goldwater inspired Reagan but these days, it seems House Conservatives have unearthed the spirit of Goldwater and are taking on the bailout.

May the House Conservatives succeed. Let The Wall Street Barons Fail.

...and attorney, which means he can craft an argument for any side.

Should be a matter of public record if he ever went to trial.

If not, then you'll never know except for his Bar Admission card.
