Soldier's mother 'ecstatic' about Obama's bracelet

MILWAUKEE—The mother of a Wisconsin soldier who died in Iraq says she was "ecstatic" when Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama mentioned during Friday's debate the bracelet she gave him in honor of her son. Tracy Jopek of Merrill told The Associated Press on Sunday she was honored that Obama remembered Sgt. Ryan David Jopek, who was killed in 2006 by a roadside bomb. She criticized Internet reports suggesting Obama, D-Ill., exploited her son for political purposes.

Jopek acknowledged e-mailing the Obama campaign in February asking that the presidential candidate not mention her son in speeches or debates. But she said Obama's mention on Friday was appropriate because he was responding after Sen. John McCain, the Republican nominee, said a soldier's mother gave him a bracelet.

"I've got a bracelet, too, from Sergeant—from the mother of Sergeant Ryan David Jopek, given to me in Green Bay," Obama said during the debate. "She asked me, 'Can you please make sure another mother is not going through what I'm going through?' No U.S. soldier ever dies in vain because they're carrying out the missions of their commander in chief. And we honor all the service that they've provided."

Jopek says Obama's comment rightfully suggested there's more than one viewpoint on the war.

Obama: just another sociopath.

He says what he has to say to get himself elected. Do you think that he could beat McCain if he said that Bush sent our boys and girls to die in vain?

Think about it.

It's funny how the McCain-lovers 'uncover' something that Obama's sister or next door neighbor said 20 years ago that contradicts what Obama said last week and offer it as proof that Obama does not mean what he says. But, whenever he says something that fits idiotic "narrative" that "they are all the same and therefore vote McCain coz he's not dark" then THAT, you can take it to the bank because THAT is EXACTLY what he means.

On the idiotically funny 'accusations' category, I heard 'Rush' last Friday accusing Obama for living 'within one quarter mile of Ayers' while in New York.

Anyone that said it would get elected in an honest vote. The media and the Zionist power structure would tear him to pieces however.

The moment he says something like that or he doubts Israel's status as 'our closest ally' he is labeled 'lunatic fringe' or 'extremist' or 'anti-semite' and his political career end. I don't like it but it's reality.

and for that reason, he doesn't deserve your vote.

Somehow, things seem to be a tiny bit more complicated than that.

I, myself, would not say something that I don't believe to gain some advantage but I'm not a politician. There are many things that I would not do that someone needs to do - like meat packing. I really feel lucky and privileged because I never had to do or say things that would later make me hate myself but not everyone is born lucky and privileged.
