I have just finished viewing this video and find myself in agreement with its primary theme which is to get out of the current system because it is self destruction for the benefit of psychopaths.

I think the makers could have better illustrated the negative impact of religions by exposing "man" and "Man"-ipulation as the root problem rather than blaming scriptural passages acted upon by nation states against other nation states. It's a very difficult subject and as dealt with in this video will be a prohibition or stumbling block for humanity to overcome before we are able to dethrone the powers that currently enslave us ALL.

I'd certainly recommend it to everyone. Their approach to the monetary system leaves many questions unanswered in my opinion. However, they do a very good job of showing just how manipulative it is and that it far outweighs politics as the guiding influence over the international populace ... and determines who has and who hasn't a decent lifestyle.

No one has all of the answers and humanity is a work in progress (if you can actually see it that way), and these folks are opening the conversation up for all of us to discuss the future, and we MUST. One thing is for certain, those currently in control will only be taken down when we quit supporting their system which in turn empowers them to destroy us.

The low number of responses is disappointing. We have as a society a very long way to go ... but we need to get started. This video shows where we're headed and offers suggestions that need consideration and dialogue. The current "monetary" monopoly of death has to go ... let's get rid of it.

I don't have two hours to spend on a lark that this video might really say something substantial. Your comments make me more interested but I'd prefer a paraphrase.

In this age of information overload, I can certainly agree. Especially if it rehashes something we already understand and/or believe.

I watched about half of it and finally skimmed the rest. The explanation of fractional reserve banking is good in Part I, but nothing very new to us here. I found the description of the exploits of the US empire from a former covert operative very interesting but saddening. My wife remembers when the Ecuador president mentioned was killed/murdered. She told me about him before and how good he really was. The moral: All that crap from Bush & co about "spreading democracy" is complete BS, as democratically elected people are removed if the Admin and/or CIA doesn't like them.

Then the movie moves on to claim that free enterprise doesn't work because monetary interests are inherently corrupting. It seems instead to advocate some kind of new socialism where that no one needs to work but that everyone nonetheless enjoys a reasonable standard of living. That struck me as unrealistically utopian. Well, maybe when tech reaches the point where robots are self repairing and do everything for us, we can start thinking in that direction.

In summary, it does a good job of demonizing the establishment, corporations, financial elite etc and rightly so. Beyond that, I'm not sure I see it's value.

Yea, it's hard to imagine a world not run for money. I don't fault them for trying, though. It would be nice if we could get there somehow.

I had never heard of the black-ops meddling/assassinations in Ecuador before this film. What our elites do to poor third-world countries as they struggle just to get an economic leg up out of the global gutter is absolutely abominable. Every Ecuadorian ought to hate our government's guts. Do they?

The claims of both Chavez and Morales that the US is actively engaged in activities to overthrow their respective governments is certainly true. (Of course doing to Bush what the CIA does Chavez will quickly get you accused of terrorism by the DHS). Here in Ecuador, it's probably not worthwhile to sponsor a coup for the simple reason that presidents get run out of office way to frequently. There have been about 9 presidents here in the last 11-12 years. So there's no guarantee that the puppet replacement would last long enough to justify the effort. That's certainly a feather in Ecuador's hat.

I don't know that the average Ecuadorian hates the US gov. There are definitely a lot of poor people here getting paid about $200 a month (literally). Still, there is also a lot of well to do also, at least here in Quito. I live near a lot of car dealerships, and they include Mercedes, Volvo, Audi, Peugeot and numerous others. I've seen some Ford pickups and SUV's selling for $60-$75K in one of the malls here.

But because of the difference in standard of living, a lot of Ecuadorians dream about moving to the land of prosperity (USA). But they don't really concern themselves with politics.

Then again, there's enough concern about politics that presidents get thrown out of office here through popular movements so.....

How's that for a thoroughly mixed up answer?

I guess I can say that I've not experienced any public beatings for being a gringo. There was a time recently when I yelled at a couple guys on a bus for smoking. Yelling at them in English can be fun since they can't yell back at you since they have no idea what you said. That might have gone badly, but other than that, I'm treated nicely here.

I'd agree with your review. I think we all have to adjust our thinking to enable ourselves to leave the parasites behind. I too thought the Venus project was too utopian. (Someone has to grow the food).

What do you think about your hero, the Obamassiah, going along with the bailout of the bankers? He didn't just go along with it, he (along with that weasel McCain) actively encouraged other crooks to go along with it.

The Congress was threatened by the fascists currently in power with actual martial law and possibly the suspension of the elections unless they capitulated. It's a delicate operation to separate neocon crazies from the levers of power they currently hold. The nation is being held hostage. Sometimes one must humor hostagetakers (short term) so that the hostages might ultimately be saved (long term).

Yeah, right. Just keep telling yourself that Obama isn't establishment through and through. And when he proves to you that he is, the only thing that will keep me from pointing and laughing is that no matter which one of those charlatans "wins," America loses.

edit: I will amend my statement--I am not sure if you will ever see Obama for what he really is, it doesn't seem to get through to you. But I believe that if he is elected most people will be sorry they ever saw him or heard his name in less than six months.
