Lefty Frizzell was Merle's inspiration they say, which is why Merles's singing style so closely resembles Lefty's.

Hard to believe that any could improve on Lefty's wonderful voice, but it could be said that Merle did just that.

I've enjoyed creating play stations of my favorite artists on www.pandora.com - C and W dominate - I cannot take patriot talk radio all day and night.
