Sen. Clinton says 2nd White House run is unlikely

WASHINGTON - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton puts the chances of her running for president again at near zero — slightly higher than the chances she gives for becoming Senate majority leader or a Supreme Court justice.

In an interview aired Tuesday on "Fox & Friends" on the Fox News Channel, Clinton, D-N.Y., was asked the chances, on a scale of 1 to 10, that she would be the next majority leader in the Senate.

"Oh, probably zero," she said. "I'm not seeking any other position than to be the best senator from New York that I can be."

Being nominated to the Supreme Court?

"Zero," Clinton said. "I have no interest in doing that."

Running for president again?

"Probably close to zero," she said. "There's an old saying: Bloom where you're planted."

The former first lady, who was elected to the Senate in 2000 and re-elected in 2006, said she looked forward to working as a senator with a Barack Obama administration

Poster Comment:

Not that I take her word for anything, but with any luck the one good thing to come of this election is that we won't have to hear the name "Clinton" much anymore.

My beef with her is simple: While the Clintons were in office the first time, they passed NAFTA and GATT. As far as I'm concerned that was nothing less than a total and utter betrayal of American workers. Therefore, I view the Clintons as being mortal enemies. I'm very happy to have seen her beaten and humiliated in this year's campaign. Payback is a bitch, Senator Clinton. You and your husband should not have betrayed American workers and sold out our entire manufacturing capacity to China. If you and your husband had not done that, you'd be moving into the White House this January.

The moral of the story is that at least some of us citizens have LONG memories and are fully capable of carrying a major-league grudge for decades.

Not to mention Clinton's war crimes in the Balkans and the mass murder at Waco.

Along with NAFTA and GATT, another reason I hated Clinton was his suppor for a taxpayer sponsored buy-up of Mexican Pesos. He had to protect his cronies' investments across the border.

Add to that his pardon of Marc Rich and other crooks in exchange for bribes and his "wag the dog" war in Kosovo, and you have a pretty despicable excuse for a President. Little did we know that George W. Bush would be ten times worse.

James...

And they were replaced with more criminals and now we will replace the current criminals with another set of fresh criminals...

Americans have lost their way and their will. We have no voice, no leader, no one to support or follow. Hopelessness, despair??? Yes, for true Americans old enough to remember when we were still free.

Too many younger era Americans are too willing to follow the multitude of Pied Pipers put forth every four years.

Best moment in a local economics class a few years ago. The teacher is talking about falling wages and the reasons why. I add in "because Perot and his 'giant sucking sound' was right after all."

I get several "damn right!"s from other students. The teacher just gave me a confused look.

Can't say I learned much in that class.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton puts the chances of her running for president again at near zero ...

"Hello, my name is Pat Paulson and there is absolutely no truth to the rumors that I am running for President."

Of course near zero becomes 100% as soon as she can figure out a way to do it. "A listening tour" of her newly second adopted, for political expediency, "home state".

I suspect that your parents and theirs knew more about freedom than either of us ever have and we know more about it than the generations who have come since we were born.

My one set of Grandparents were born "BEFORE" the Civil War. My Grandmother was born in 1859, remembered the end of the War as a young child, lived to nearly 100.

Hell on earth by/before 2012.

Bank on it. ahaha

Well, your grandparents and your parents knew what freedom was, at least far better than the people do today.
