IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — An eastern Idaho woman whose boyfriend impregnated her 9-year-old daughter has been sentenced to 10 years in prison. Isabel Chasarez, 27, must serve at least one year in prison before she is eligible for parole, 7th District Judge Brent Moss ordered Tuesday at the sentencing hearing. Chasarez pleaded guilty in August to failing to provide proper prenatal care for her daughter. Her 38-year-old boyfriend, Guadalupe Gutierrez-Juarez, pleaded guilty to rape in September. He is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 28 and faces life in prison. The girl became pregnant at age 9, sometime between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30 2007, authorities say, and gave birth in April.

http://s5.gladiatus.us/game/c.php?uid=77290 Well, I imagine the court's logic goes like this: It's dangerous for a child that young (and for small females in general) to undergo childbirth, especially with no prenatal care and without a doctor being familiar with her medical history, and any potential problems the child may have during the pregnancy and delivery. Second, once it was apparent that the child was pregnant the mother should have notified authorities. The father should not have had any further access to the girl because he could have killed her and buried the evidence of his crimes. The fact that the mother didn't call police makes her an accomplice. It certainly indicates that she was more concerned with keeping her man (and probably sole provider) out of jail than she was concerned for her daughter's safety during pregnancy and while living with the rapist. The father could have planned a murder (or spontaneous abortion after the girl "accidentally fell down four flights of stairs) at his leisure, and quite possibly with the assistance of the equally criminal mother. And, why do you assume that the mother had no knowledge of the assaults? I've known victims of incest and child rape and in many cases the mothers did indeed know but wanted to pretend it wasn't happening for several reasons, not the least of which was the loss of the lifestyles to which they were accustomed. (They could be rich hypocrites/child rape accomplices driving Escalades or principled, protective single mothers riding public transportation to meet with welfare counselors) Several victims have told me that their mothers accused them of lying and falsely accusing their fathers, uncles, brothers, but when the abusers were confronted they almost always confessed! And, it's not that difficult to make children believe that they are responsible for the abuse, (little girls naturally flirt with adult males just as pre-fledglings stand on the edge of a nest and flap their wings, to get a feel for what will someday come quite naturally for them-but neither should be pushed) and that guilt is used to confuse, silence and control the victims. (Not to mention that it really fucks those women up for the rest of their lives. Some cope better than others but all victims cope with the fact that their fathers used them and their mothers either didn't love them enough to protect them, or they rationalized away the long term damage their silence caused their daughters.) Little girls and young women need fathers not lovers (who will hopefully teach them how to trust and love men, first by being trustworthy and second, by demonstrating pure, unselfish love for their daughters) and they need mothers not greedy pimps and facilitators of these Gothic horrors, that I'm sorry to say happens in too many families across the economic spectrum. For all we know there was testimony in court and the mother told the 9 yr old victim that she couldn't see a doctor because it would "...get "Lupe" in trouble with the gringo police and they'd all be jailed/deported/ shamed and ostracized." The fact that a lawful, therapeutic abortion may have been an option does not automatically relieve the mother of any responsibility to seek medical attention for the daughter. It's not as if any back room abortion would have been legal. Had the mother (or the father) tried to terminate the pregnancy with a coat hanger that would also be punishable by prison time. Whatever course of action was decided upon regarding the pregnancy, the daughter was entitled to proper medical care, screening for STDs, protection from further assaults and protection from possibly being murdered to cover the adults' crimes. There's no reason to assume that had the father decided to murder the girl that the mother would have lifted a finger to prevent it. After all, what evils had she prevented so far?
The creepy thing about this is that I think, "My God!," then the I see the names and say, "Well, what do you expect?"

Gawd....what a friggin nightmare. What you said, which I quoted, is so true. Absolutely true...........and at the same time, mothers need to be teaching their sons, with their dad being a role model for how a husband should treat his wife and family.
They're just here to rape the children that Republican politicians are too busy to get to...
