A news report from WALB TV in Georgia outlines a case of “assisted voting”, in which a mentally handicapped man is taken to a polling place and forced to vote for Obama, despite his stated intention to vote for McCain. I’ve got nothing clever to say about this. It is simply despicable… in addition to being illegal.

Voter fraud by the Obama campaign is at a level never seen before. I mean, they're not even trying to hide it.

This is a serious crime, but not rating the death penalty. I was a Democratic Precinct Committee person, and we made sure two people helped someone who was say sight handicapped at my Precinct. That kept things obviously honest as we made sure both main sides of the election were represented. Now we have mail in ballots and I have a standing policy that if a sight handicapped person asks me to only do it the same way, with a witness. It protects me against allegations I put my vote in, and it protects whom I am helping in showing them that people do care about their vote. I work for Food For Lane County and know quite a few, including one whom I know will want help from me. I've known him since the seventies when he was sighted, and he always votes conservative. Well do his ballot next week up at one of my brother's home. And my brother is Christian, a McCain supporter -- I am from a conservative family -- so we'll do it when we are watching TV (he is a sports nut, and so is my friend; I'm not) and make it part of a normal ritual. We help people with their ballots and also deliver them for people when we do canvassing in the Obama campaign. The other side does it too. The ballot goes inside a privacy envelope, and Oregonians are good at being conscientious enough to make sure they get put in the slot at election central downtown here in Eugene.
