A 67 page pdf. The article seems to be a serious-minded effort rather than a hoax. An interesting read at any rate.
It is unsigned and not dated - the contents suggest it was finished within past few weeks.
Well, you are mistaken, because my beliefs concerning the First Amendment are very old ones. I Was Hugo Black when my 400 level Political Science Supreme Court course at the University of Oregon did a mock-up of the court listing to arguments then working out and writing a Supreme Court decision.
I chose Hugo Black because he and William Orville Douglas' opinions on free speech are inspiring. I like allot about Hugo Black, but this one area of constitutional law he is largely the epicenter of what I believe free speech should be.
Interestingly enough, he did not consider say the burning of the flag to be free speech but conduct that the several states could regulate or ban.
I can see his point, but that is one area I might go even farther then Justice Black did to preserve free speech rights.
Now I don't know much at all about ADL monitoring of hate speech, but they should have the right to monitor it in open meetings where it is featured, but never should have standing to want to have it banned.
That would be unconstitutional, pure and simple.

I was falling in love with Corn Flake Girl 'til I found out she was a dude.
That was weird.
BWAHAHAHA!!! Did you know that "Corn Flake" got $#it canned from LP for threatening the posters there with the secret service goons? Tickled me "BUT GOOD" as the Toddler would say.
Liberty is not a means to a higher political end. It is itself the highest political end. Lord Acton
"More than anything he ain't earned the *right* (since when the fvck is a job a 'right'?) to "this job", or anything else."
The standards are 270 electoral votes in a presidential election held every four years, and individuals are legally obliged the job twice for two terms if they can run the gauntlet and get elected.
Now what part of the obvious do you truly not understand here?
"You only have power over people so long as you don't take everything away from them. But when you've robbed a man of everything he's no longer in your power -- he's free again. Alexander Solzhenitsyn
So then you condemn the ADL and folks who 'monitor' hate speech forums. I recall you stating some time back that the ADLs work in this area (hate speech) was noble and you supported it.
He even supports Secret Service goons "paying visits" to folks who don't worship his hero. Or so it appears.

Show me a quote where the account 'Corn Flake Girl' stated that he was going to call the Secret Service?
I bet you can't. And I know why.
Nothing like that occurred. And honestly, I don't necessarily believe Murron intended to lie when she started her thread about the Secret Service, she just lacks the cognitive ability to analyze what is being said to her without short circuiting in her worst fears as she jumps to conclusions.
I don't care the account was close, I am not surprised at Murron's behavior, as I've known her online since at least 2002. She actually writes better with allot less mis-spelling and syntax errors.
I used to post here in Eugene with RaidedEyeBrows and she was always a source of high amusement for us.
I am glad she is doing well and glad she likes posting.
It would be nice to get her to admit what she already knows is true, that nobody threatened to call the Secret Service. And this is for her benefit, not mine. But don't think I am holding my breath for her to have a light bulb illuminate over hear noggin.
Thanks for an amusing post by the way. ;-D

I support the Secret Service doing their job, and one mission of this job is to protect people they are assigned to protect.
They are not there to deal with free speech, unless of course you were one to use free speech and personal expression as a defense in a counterfeiting situation.

Just to let you know, this is also talked about on A K A Stone's forum, Libertysflame.com. Please, by all means, read the material posted by me as CFG on LP and LF and show me where I ever remotely indicated I was going to call the SS.
It never happened.

A lovely crew.....you know IATL, I'm not convinced the obamabots don't get this. I actually think they've willingly chosen to hop to the dark side. I have no respect for them.
I can sorta understand young people--and when I say young I am talking about folks in the 18-22 or maybe 23 year old group--supporting Obama. It is hard to understand people who have been around for a while, if they have paid any attention at all, who say they support Obama. He is establishment whore through and through and I can't think why any sane person who has been around a while would ever vote for him. And the same goes for McCain.

Exactly. I'm talking about people w/access to the net, are capable of reading and research and have been doing what we do for a number of years. Nothing can explain their sudden bolt to the left, except for the color of the candidate. This guy is the most liberal (sorry if that term bothers people, but it still works for me) Senator in congress. Biden comes in third. Pure socialism and those who support him, enemies of freedom.
So you want to criminalize supporting presidential candidates of choice?
Enemies of freedom, oh my, they must be imprisoned in right wing prison camps, perhaps even clandestine ones like they had in Argentina when the right was rampaging there.
Thematically you all sound like the mainland Chinese, "liberalism is mental illness," "enemies of freedom," what next? That liberals are building a wayback time machine to go back and kill Reagan as a baby?
You people are unraveling hemp rope and smoking it.

Han, that's just the shadow if your own racial bigotry scaring the common sense out of that brain housing group of yours'.
People who are drowning don't care what color the person throwing a life ring on a rope to them is. Same thing with Obama, he is the best man of the two to handle the presidency and people know this.
To many, the racial thing is old and doesn't play in their decision. To you definitely, but not to the vast majority of people voting Democrat this time around.

I understand that he hasn't *earned* a goddamned thing. He will likely get the nod, but he nevertheless will not have earned the position. He is the greatest political fraud catapulted to the highest position of power in my lifetime.
Barry Obama -- In your heart, you know he's wrong.
Did you know that "Corn Flake" got $#it canned from LP for threatening the posters there with the secret service goons?
You got banned?

Yep. Murron started a thread claiming falsely I called the Secret Service, but I don't care as I was actually unfairly banned a long time ago there when I was there as 'Ferret.' Unless I get an account that is me unlocked, retread accounts are nothing special.
It was interesting talking to you over there. That has become a viciously fascist forum. You need to take a shower after visiting the joint anyway. ;-)

I've read through your comments made recently on multiple threads, and I find a shocking theme.
You are attempting to intimidate other LP members from speaking freely on this site, by invoking various law enforcement agencies in a manner that is akin to KGB operatives controlling the proletariat!!
ANY attempt for censorship of any kind, including intimidation or veiled threats is anethema to Liberty Post and its entire purpose; it flies in the face of the First Amendment.
It is 100% NOT acceptable here.
Please take your educated, opinionated, and intimidating remarks over to a site that encourages that behavior. It is clear that you do not visit here to participate in the liberty of free and unfettered speech.
I have terminated your account.

Exactly. I feel sorry for the younger people who have been suckered by this con man but not for people who are old enough to know better. I think they deserve what they will get with Obama but the sad thing is that those who don't deserve it will get it too.

I also appreciate his willingness to prevent the reemergence of the criminal Taliban regime in Afghanistan
Obama doesn't seem too interested in stopping the criminal regime in America.
Fuck the Taliban. They can run all of Afghanistan for all I care. When will Obama be as forceful about the Banking elite that rules Washington with more of an iron hand than the Taliban rules Kabul?

This post to you may not be appropriate for this thread ... but here goes.
I was thinking that Obama's election will most likely bring every ugly component of American society to a head like a boil. Man, I am honestly concerned that it could get very, very nasty in the days to come.
I don't see a way to avoid it either.
Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is in prison.
so it's a win/win situation for racists who oppose obama.
they can disguise their racism with mealy-mouthed concerns about racism in america.
I see it as a lose/lose condition. Racism is the violin being manipulated by the PTB and the tune is chaos.
It's easy enough to determine that separatism is portrayed as supremicist behavior when it's actually nothing more than a normal/natural preference for ones own race.
That's not to say there aren't those willing to abuse any and all issues to create havoc in America. Those most often guilty of racist policies are the government that claims to be doing the opposite.
The country is in grave danger because the situation is becoming so susceptible to manipulation and the people easily herded into antagonistic blocks.

I was unaware of this isolated incident, but fully aware of the capability the moneychangers have to buy everything for nothing since they issue the currency out of thin air.
Lead poisoning appears to be the only deterrent remaining.
