WASHINGTON – With or without a formal title, Colin Powell will have Barack Obama's ear if the Democratic presidential candidate wins the White House in the Nov. 4 election, the candidate said Monday.

"He will have a role as one of my advisers," Barack Obama said on NBC's "Today" in an interview aired Monday, a day after Powell, a four-star general and President Bush's former secretary of state, endorsed him.

"Whether he wants to take a formal role, whether that's a good fit for him, is something we'd have to discuss," Obama said.

Being a top presidential adviser, especially on foreign policy, would be familiar ground to Powell on a subject that's relatively new to the freshman Illinois senator. Obama has struggled to establish his foreign policy credentials against GOP candidate John McCain, a decorated military veteran, Vietnam prisoner of war and ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee.

In the NBC interview, Obama said Powell did not give him a heads-up before he crossed party lines and endorsed the Democratic presidential candidate on the network's "Meet the Press" a day earlier.

In that interview, Powell called Obama a "transformational figure" in the nation's history and expressed disappointment in some of McCain's campaign tactics. But, Powell said, he didn't plan to hit the campaign trail with Obama before Election Day.

"I won't lie to you, I would love to have him at any stop," Obama said with a grin Monday. "Obviously, if he wants to show up, he's got an open invitation."

Powell's endorsement came just hours after Obama's campaign disclosed that it raised $150 million in September — obliterating the old record of $66 million it had set only one month earlier.

White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said she had not spoken to Bush about his reaction to Powell's endorsement but added that Bush and Powell have a good relationship.

"The president greatly respects Gen. Powell as we all do," Perino told reporters aboard Air Force One en route to an event in Louisiana.

Powell expressed disappointment in the negative tone of McCain's campaign, his choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as a running mate and their decision to focus in the closing weeks of the contest on Obama's ties to 1960s-era radical William Ayers, saying "it goes too far."

McCain, meanwhile, seemed dismissive of Powell's endorsement, saying it wasn't a surprise, that the two share mutual respect and are longtime friends.

The Republican from Arizona pointed out on Sunday that he had support from four other former secretaries of state, all veterans of Republican administrations: Henry Kissinger, James A. Baker III, Lawrence Eagleburger and Alexander Haig.

At a boisterous rally Sunday, Obama said McCain was "out of ideas and almost out of time."

He and his aides appear so confident of his prospects that apart from a brief stop in Madison, Wis., next Thursday, Obama currently has no plans during the next 10 days to return to Pennsylvania, Minnesota, New Hampshire or any other state that voted for John Kerry in 2004.

Instead, he intends to spend two days this week in Florida, where early voting begins on Monday, and travel to Virginia, Iowa, Ohio, Colorado, New Mexico and possibly Nevada and Indiana. Those states hold 97 electoral votes combined, and Bush won all in 2004.

Obama also may stop in West Virginia, where his campaign recently bought statewide television advertising in a late attempt to put the state's five electoral votes into serious contention.

With Obama, you get globalists and opportunists like Powell and Brzezinski.

With McCain, you get Israeli moles like Scheunemann and Lieberman.

Some "choice" the American voters have for their foreign policy.

Biden choice should have been one last final neon flashing sign to anyone not paid for already.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”—Samuel Adams

Now Powell is gonna be Obama's stepandfetchit.

You get a little more with obama too

Like: Obama and a RAT Congress.

Do you really want to see socialism imposed on this country in a matter of months?

Do you want to see scores of activist Federal Judges appointed by these leftists?

Do you want the 2nd Amendment eroded further than it already is?

Do you want to see Supreme Court Justices appoint by these people?

Do you want the capital gains tax rate to more than double, stifling long term investment in this country?

Obama with a RAT Congress is a perfect storm of destruction. I don't want to see the above, I'm for voting McCain/Palin

It's the second mouse that gets the cheese

Michael Badnarik calls Colin Powell "a man of honor and integrity". (What?) freedom4um.com/cgi-bin/readart.cgi?ArtNum=81997

THE NEXT DAY Badnarik replied to my email on air:

____________________

Michael Badnarik has apologized, he had not known that Colin Powell was a member of the CFR.

Note: Just heard, Badnarik's first hour guest starts defending Powell; and Badnarik goes on to discuss his comments on Powell, at minute 11.

Wednesday June 11

1st hour:

AT 620:

"I also have a mea culpa, I guess; I have to apologize, I think it was yesterday? I dunno if it was yesterday or Monday, I was talking about how terrible Barrack Obama was, and I mentioned that I was not opposed to a black president, I just , you know, didn't want Barrack Obama. And I suggested that perhaps Colin Powell would be a better person because I thought he was a man of honor and integrity. Well- I don't know everything and apparently Colin Powell is a member of the CFR, and I've talked with some of my friends who say that oooh, no no no, he is one of the bad guys., uh, that I was UNaware of. So, thank you for sending me the e-mail. I would have recommended calling the program, to correct that mistake right away,. Our number is 512 646 1984."

His guest starts defending Powell and criticizing the neocons , as if Powell was not a neocon.

Michael replies: at 10:38:

"Well I confess, I have nothing bad to say about Colin Powell that I'm aware of I mean, he appears to be, um very articulate, sophisticated, and uh, dignified. That doesn't necessarily mean that his ideas and his principles are well founded, and I was unaware of anything bad , but I.. it's amazing, when you have a radio talk show, nobody will call in, they just kinda sit back then all of the sudden you make a comment and , uh, suddedly there's a flurry of activity.

you know, people accusing me of, you know, not being quite awake.

But, ya know, I'm doing my best."

Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld could probably get jobs in an Obama administration too if they switch endorsements.

They're laughing because they're all Jews and no one notices it. Cohen, a Jew and Republican was secretary of defense under Klinton, Berger was caught red handed stealing ABOVE TOP SECRET documents in his pink silk panties, and Ms. Albright (Korbel) said she didn't know she was a Jew ... look at her fucking nose man.

Jews lack the numbers, say 6-million among 300-million Americans, to enforce Jewish Supremacy. Mud people such as Obama and Powell, plus suck-poop goys such as McCain and Bush give them more than enough power to set up a bloodthirsty dictatorship that could make Stalin and Hitler look like Sunday School teachers.

Life is a tragedy to those who feel, and a comedy to those who think.

White folks, especially adult males, are under a constant barrage of anti-white TV shows, statements, rules, laws and interventional governmental programs by all other groups including anti-male women's organizations to such an extent that they seem to have become too traumatized to counter these attacks or even speak out in their own defense.

On the other hand, the cock-roaches of commercial communism run rampant for millenium and cry out in agony if someone even mentions their open criminality.
