Ahmadinejad in 2008! This AP photo is compelling evidence of the following assertions, which have been set forth on this blog: 1. Barack Obama had Indonesian citizenship 2. Barack Obama had the legal name Barry Soetoro 3. Barack Obama was a Muslim, despite his “fight the smears” claim that he never has been. (see story that we posted on this topic). When was Barack Obama going to tell the electorate about his Indonesian identity and citizenship? What is the current status of his Indonesian citizenship? Did Barack Obama travel to Pakistan in 1981 on an Indonesian passport? Does his birth certificate say Barry Soetoro? Did he ever legally change his name from Soetoro to Obama? Is the correct name on the ballot? i don't get it. what's the problem with just answering the questions? /s

Regarding his being a Muslim, no one can contest that he IS a Muslim under Muslim law. He may not view himself as a Muslim, worship as a Muslim, or observe Muslim precepts, but that will not affect how orthodox Muslims view him.

Did you notice that this paper says he was born in HONOLULU ??!! Notwithstanding that his stepdad may have fudged on the boy's nationality (AND name AND religion) to get him into school in Indonesia, US law does not allow American-born children to be divested of their US citizenship, even by both parents, during their minority. At worst, Obama might have then had a dual citizenship, both US and Indonesian. That would hardly be a disqualifier; Michelle Bachman, a Republican contender in 2012, was - right up through Election Day - a dual citizen with US and Swiss citizenships (she relinquished the Swiss citizenship AFTER the Republican Convention - and nobody made an issue of it during the campaign).

LOL! Shoon has to defend the Kenyan at all costs. Keeps trying to tell us that the Kenyan was born in Hawaii despite the fact that his Kenyan grandma said he was born in Kenya, the thing Obama calls his wife said Kenya was his homeland and the Kenyan ambassador said he was born there.

Having come across this via the search engine, I did not pay any attention to the date this thread was started and I certainly did not investigate the author of the first message. I simply felt it necessary to point out crucial facts that trip up the birfers.

S/he has never been acquainted with any facts. Still insists that the Kenyan was born in Hawaii despite the fact his grandma--his KENYAN grandma--said he was born there. Manchelle said Kenya was/is his homeland. The Kenyan ambassador said he was born there. Shoon doesn't really care about facts, just feels the need, like Bush, to catapult the propaganda.

I will assume you are correct that Indonesia does not allow dual citizenships. Also someone else's claim that Indonesian schools are closed to non-Muslims. It seems obvious to me that Stepdad Soetoro fibbed on the paperwork to get little Barack squared away at a school in Indonesia - he fibbed about the boy's name, religion, and he may have fibbed about the boy's citizenship - and I wouldn't be surprised if money was passed as well - to get Barack into a local school. The point, however, is that under US law little Barack, having been born a US citizen, as shown by the fact that he was on his mother's US passport, could not be deprived of his US citizenship while a minor, even by act of both parents. What was pretended to the Indonesian school does not affect that.

You may be right, but your seeming willingness to be forthcoming with exculpatory facts is not shared by the president. He hired an army to lock away too much info and to stage manage that which was presented to the citizens. People have a right to know the things that he has hidden. And we know instinctively that if he was legit your tireless efforts in his defense would be completely unnecessary, which is why you are incessantly battered. And there's also the issue of what your have to gain from your efforts. It certainly isn't the altruistic satisfaction of the pursuit of honesty and truth in govt. And, the absence of honesty and openness does not lend to our system of self govt. It only benefits swindlers and those with murky agendas who conspire to enslave us, and harness our energy for their benefit. Would you care to explain why you defend the indefensible and in the process reveal that which you have chosen to hide from us? You would of course risk being reduced to a stereotype.
