I think referring to it as "White Culture" misses the point. A culture is a living breathing thing composed of the people who make it. It is technology, art, music, science, mores, and manners. A culture is viable or it is not viable i.e., it either has the potential for survival and enhancing survival for the greatest number or it does not. A superior culture is one which enhances all of these for all people. It could even grow into a civilization. Something that would be a nice change on this insane asylum of a planet. However, would you regard the "Culture of the 'Hood" or of "The Barrio" as a superior culture? As I commented in my first post on this thread "race" is a highly charged subject. However, "culture" taken in it's broadest meaning is not a race specific thing, it can be only because some of a particular human subspecies might formulate their own, but that does approach the broader questions of mutual respect and toleration. Requirements for a true civilization. Certainly the 'Hood, "The Barrio", or the Trailer Park are not emblematic of civilization. Tolerance, and toleration, must be a two way street. Western "culture", or as it has now be redefined - misdefined, has offered the greatest amount of individual liberty to people's of all human groups. Certainly it has had its defects, but in its best moments it has transcended them. Never forget that there were an awful lot of "White" people who fought slavery, and whose descendents took up the battle of "Civil Rights". So, although it has become increasingly polarized because of the pendulum swing from oppression to oppression "White Culture" is still a misnomer. It was that "Western Culture" (with the occasional eastern influence) which raised the world from muck and mire. The ongoing attacks on that culture are intended to divide and disperse those elements of it which run counter to the totalitarianism that the Bankster Class would like to impose upon the rest of humanity. "Black Culture" as distinct from "Western Culture" does not exist. There are sub-cultures within the common culture but the attempt to subdivide and elevate one group or another to a point of supremecy misses the point and is at best myopic and at its worst destructive.

yes, i did. when someone makes the accusation that i'm stirring up race wars because i allow discussion of race issues and encourage freedom of expression and then follows it up with an inflammatory post about shooting and exterminating black people, i take that very seriously. i take that as a deliberate attempt to intimidate, censor, and silence me. that went far over the line and i'm not going to accept it.

Seconded. When I've time later, I'll gladly expound on this. He as a new poster, and posted his view as an argument against racist verbiage. He should of gotten a rebuttal, not a head butting to the exit. With all due respect, teach and discuss limits you feel have been breached first. Then if they do not work out the problem and turn into a BeaChooser grade fuckwit, then ban them. I also question a perma ban near the emotionally charged time of an election. I think you need to read The Israel Lobby and the blog by philip weiss [ he names names of neolibs in Obama's campaign] to get a better understanding of our national priorities. If it were me the first 3 national priorities would be: 1. forbid all US citizens, holding dual citizenship, from holding elected office or policy level positions within federal and state government 2. force AIPAC to register as a foreign agent 3. hold a national referendum re: term limits for federal elected officials. After those 3 priorities were put in place, all other necessary changes would follow because elected officials would be reminded whom they serve and that they serve at the little people's behest..

I don't see that drawing as equivalent to wadosy's postings to me. As I said before, his accusing me of contributing to and/or fomenting race wars in this country because of the allowance of the discussion here struck me as an intimidation tactic, one intended to silence and censor me and others. As the thread progressed, he stopped debating the issue and, instead, began attacking my motives and hurling ad hominem accusations. Then these two comments from him (1)"...short of going out and shooting a bunch of black people" " (2)seeing as how we're gonna have to exterminate colored people to make room for whites, i guess you're performing a public service, here," I determined were purposefully inflammatory. No one else wrote or suggested anything of the sort. Those words and ideas came from him alone. I believe this was an attempt to attribute those ideas, by insinuation, to me and/or others. Those comments caused me to conclude that wadosy's intent was to incite, intimidate, and to disrupt the debate, therefore, my decision to retire his account.
