Obama makes some of the most ignorant statements I have ever heard. Even goes so far as thinking his "works" will guarantee his salvation.

I dont think he was talking about salvation in the Christian sense of the word.

Other than that, I sure do hope people are as ready as they can be.

He said his individual salvation would not come about without the collective salvation of the country or something like that. It doesn't work that way. Salvation is strictly an individual, not a collective thing that happens to everyone if it happens to/with anyone. That was about as stupid a statement as I have ever heard any politician make and I have heard some real doozies.
