A Biblical Prophecy for today The Bible is a fascinating book. Once you begin to understand it, through study, it does remove all fear because you finally can see who is responsible for all of the troubles on the earth, and, what the solution to these problems are. And, there is only one solution, as more and more should be understanding now. That solution is Jehovah God, and His Son, Jesus Christ. John 17:3; This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. And how do we learn about them, that we may gain salvation? In the Bible, because the Bible is the only reliable source of information that we have about Jehovah God and His Son. Now, if you doubt that, I put up three posts in the Religion thread; How Strong Is Your Belief in the Resurrection? The Last Judgment The Origin of Hell If there is information in those three posts that is contrary to what you have been led to believe in Christendom, then you should carefully reconsider your participation in the sins of that said Christendom. Why? Because the Bible is, above all else, a book of personal responsibility. For instance, read the following verses carefully; Matthew 10:32, 38; 32“Everyone, then, that confesses union with me before men, I will also confess union with him before my Father who is in the heavens; 33 but whoever disowns me before men, I will also disown him before my Father who is in the heavens. 34 Do not think I came to put peace upon the earth; I came to put, not peace, but a sword. 35 For I came to cause division, with a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a young wife against her mother-in-law. 36 Indeed, a man’s enemies will be persons of his own household. 37 He that has greater affection for father or mother than for me is not worthy of me; and he that has greater affection for son or daughter than for me is not worthy of me. 38 And whoever does not accept his torture stake and follow after me is not worthy of me. First; but whoever disowns me before men How do you disown Jesus Christ? By denial, by failing to take in accurate knowledge of Him (other things, such as the TV, being of more importance), and by failing to fulfill His Words, which are not His Words, but the Words of His Father, as He tells us in the Bible. Secondly; For I came to cause division, with a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a young wife against her mother-in-law. 36 Indeed, a man’s enemies will be persons of his own household. Read the above carefully, and reflect on what it means. It does not matter what your father taught you. It does not matter what your wife/husband believes. It does not matter what your so-called minister/priest says. The only one that is responsible for what you believe, and how you act, is YOU. No one else, at all. Third; He that has greater affection for father or mother than for me is not worthy of me I should not have to explain this because it is quite plain, If you are not worthy of Jesus Christ, then you have failed to gain salvation and eternal life. Now, if the non-sense that you are currently engaged in has more value than eternal life does to you, fine. So be it. Amen. And lastly, And whoever does not accept his torture stake and follow after me is not worthy of me What does that mean? Well, let’s let the Bible answer the question; Matthew 28:18, 19; And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.” Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations; the Second Covenant, i.e., contract. Disciples. Teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. If you do not understand what this means, ask, but it is pretty clear to all with ears to hear and eyes to see. Everyone on the earth is now a brother/sister to all others. If you do not understand blood guilt, I suggest you study the subject, IF, you have any interest in the promises of Almighty God. Understanding this by all the peoples of the earth would eliminate all war. But that is not YOUR responsibility, for we are told in the Bible that vengeance belongs to Jehovah God. Your sole responsibility is to obey Him, or, forfeit His Promises. In a few moments, I am going to put up another post, titled; The General Priesthood—Christendom’s Forgotten Doctrine Again, Biblical. This brings us back to the book of Matthew, and the prophecy that I mentioned is for today. Read this carefully, because it is in the words of Jesus Christ; Matthew 24:9, ; 9 “Then people will deliver YOU up to tribulation and will kill YOU, and YOU will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off. 13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. Let us take a close look at this. Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. It is not difficult to see this. Simply read the three posts I put up and you understand how many have been stumbled, and the hatred! All you have to do is read the posts put up in the 4um to understand that!! It literally drips off of many posts. And many false prophets will arise and mislead many How many can you name? Falwell and his ilk ring any bells? Simply look at their teachings and if they do not EXACTLY follow Scripture, then you know them for what they are. However, if you do not have a solid basis in the Scriptures, how are you going to know?! and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off That could be written to say America, and it could not be any clearer, which is why America is under judgment. America had everything, and threw it over for pie in the sky. America has lost her way, and will never recover from what is coming. What you must decide is if you want to partake of her further sins. To say today that America is cool to the Bible and to Jehovah God is a very serious understatement. But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. Would you like me to post the Scripture about how Jesus Christ will separate the sheep from the goats? After reading those three posts, if you did, do you have any questions about your qualifications to be saved? If you believe in hell and in an immortal soul, you should have some questions!! And here is the Prophecy in this verse, direct from Jesus Christ; And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. Look around you at the world today. Look carefully. Read chapter 18 of Revelation. In fact, read all of Revelation, then decide if you need to know more, but before you do that, look carefully at this; And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations That … is …. being … done …. today …. and …. everyday … worldwide. By Witnesses for Jehovah, in more than 230 lands, worldwide, everyday of the week-month-year. And, this is the first time in the history of the world that this has happened. and then the end will come Is there any more that needs to be said, to the wise? And if you knew the timelines form the Bible as I know them, you would not have many questions about this Prophecy. You would simply be putting things in their proper order and importance, but that is your decision. That is the way that Jehovah God wants it to be, and so it shall be. Your choice. Your decision. Your freewill. Chose wisely, please. If you have any questions, please ask. I can probably, with the resources I have now, answer most questions. Ask privately if you wish. And if you do not know Him, then this is an issue that you are going to be very confused about. Choose all you want, but your choices arent free. Our options are limited by The Limiter. Nothing is free. Never said it was, in fact, if you read the post carefully, you would understand that. There is no such thing as a free lunch, so no one should expect a free eternity. There are responsiblities in everything you do. Choose wisely. Just remember, the choice is eternal life, or not.

Imagine how this was done. You are outside, working, minding your own business when this stranger comes along. He says "Follow Me". YOu drop what you are doing, leave it all behind, and follow Him. How "logical" is that? Did they drop everything by exercising their mighty "free wills" and "decided" to follow some stranger to who knows where? ================= Who decides? " But there is no "choice". You dont choose Him, He chooses you. You say that the Bible does not contradict itself? You are right, it doesn't. But the scriptures I, and Indy TX posted do directly contradict what you said. How can that be?
You are correct, and I stand corrected. I should have said that I did the best that I could, according to His Word. Mostly what that means is that I came out of the apostacy of the world.

Yes. That is exactly what they did, and what millions around the world have done today. And yesterday, and will do tomorrow as well. I am one of them. Our will does not enter into the equation. Almighty God does not want unwilling slaves; He wants those who understand and accept that He is all that is neccessary for us. Accept. Obey, willingly, and not by force. Now you are being deceptive. That is not what you said and that is not what you meant. Your meaning was clear by simply understanding plainly written english. "Doing your best" does not even come close to equalling "I don't sin". What does scripture say about our efforts to do our best? What is it counted as? But you refer back to your article. " Really? By who? TBN? CBN? The aptly named Creflo Dollar? I hope you are just kidding. I submit that it is not being done. You rail against apostacy, but you think these apostates are doing good? But do a word study on "eternity" and "for ever" and see what they mean.
Not hardly; I readily admit I was wrong. Is that so hard to deal with? "Doing your best" does not even come close to equalling "I don't sin". Do you understand what Paul said about the law, and what still is in effect? Within that context, I do not sin because I will not violate such clear mandates. Someone posted a list of the 101 things wrong with Jehovah's Witnesses some time ago. After I read it, I could not stop laughing. If they had posted that to me 10 years ago, I would have joined them long, long ago! Such things as; no celebration of Christmas, nor easter, nor any of the other numerous holi-days of the world. No voting. No taking or eatimg of blood. Never join the military. Completely nuetral in all world politics and disharmony, rejection of all non-Scripural beliefs and practices (such as ministers and priets) and etc. As I said, the apostacy of the world. eternity Time and Eternity—What Do We Really Know About Them? “TIME seems to be one of the most mysterious forms of human experience,” states one encyclopedia. Yes, to define time in simple terms is nearly impossible. We may say that time “elapses,” “goes,” “flies,” and even that we ourselves are moving in “the stream of time.” But we really do not know what we are talking about. Time has been defined as the “distance between two events.” Yet, our experience seems to tell us that time is independent of events; it appears to go on whether something happens or not. One philosopher claims that time actually does not exist but is simply something imagined. Can that on which so much of our experience is built be merely a figment of our imagination? The Bible’s View of Time The Bible does not give any definition of time, suggesting that it is perhaps beyond man’s ability to understand fully. It is like the endless expanse of space, which we also find difficult to comprehend. Time, apparently, is one of those things that only God can fully understand, for he alone is “from time indefinite to time indefinite.”—Psalm 90:2. Even though the Bible does not define time, it does speak of time as a reality. To start with, the Bible tells us that God created the “luminaries”—the sun, moon, and stars—as time markers, to “serve as signs and for seasons and for days and years.” Many events recorded in the Bible are firmly placed in the stream of time. (Genesis 1:14; 5:3-32; 7:11, 12; 11:10-32; Exodus 12:40, 41) The Bible also speaks of time as something that we should use wisely in order to be in line for God’s blessing of an eternity of time—the prospect of living forever.—Ephesians 5:15, 16. Everlasting Life—Is It Logical? Frustrating as it is to try to understand what time really is, to many people the idea of everlasting life, or living forever, is most puzzling. One reason for this may be that our experience of time has always been connected with the cycle of birth, growth, aging, and death. Thus, we have come to identify the flow of time with the aging process itself. For many, to think in any other way would seem to be a violation of the very concept of time. ‘Why should humans be an exception to that to which all other living creatures seem to be subjected?’ they may ask. What is often overlooked in this way of reasoning is the fact that humans are already an exception to the rest of creation in a number of areas. For example, animals lack the intellectual abilities that humans have. Despite claims otherwise, they do not become creative beyond what their instinct drives them to do. They have neither the artistic gifts nor the capacity to show love and appreciation that humans possess. If humans have been given so much more in these qualities and abilities that make life meaningful, why is it not possible that they have also been given more when it comes to life itself? On the other hand, is it not strange that trees, which cannot think, live for thousands of years in some cases, whereas intelligent humans can live only 70 to 80 years on the average? Is it not a paradox that tortoises, which have no creative or artistic abilities, can live more than 200 years, while humans, richly endowed with these abilities, live much less than half as long? Although time and eternity cannot be fully comprehended by man, the promise of everlasting life is still a hope well founded in the Bible. In it, the term “everlasting life” occurs nearly 40 times. But if God’s purpose is that humans should live forever, why has it not already been realized? This question will be considered in the next article.

That … is …. being … done …. today …. and …. everyday … worldwide. " Really? By who? TBN? CBN? By Jehovah's Witnesses. This is the title of a post put up some time ago by Indie; Jehova's Witnesses [Or alt. title: "What the Cults Believe"] From it; Jehova's Witnesses are known for their amazing publication and witnessing activity. In every major city you will notice Jehova's Witnesses displaying the Awake and The Watchtower magazine while enduring the ridicule of the secular population. Almost every household is visited by Jehova's Witnesses at least once a year. Each issue of their Awake and The Watchtower magazines is printed more than ten million times in more than 80 languages and there is an apparently endless production of books But that only speaks of within the United States. Actually, it goes on world wide in more than 230 lands by more than 7 million Witnesses, who, last year, put in a total of more 1.2 billion hours knocking on doors and doing Bible studies. As I said; "And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations That … is …. being … done …. today …. and …. everyday … worldwide. " Yep. and I is now a part of it. Gladly, I might add.

OK, you are JW. If you do it gladly, why would I have a problem with that. But if you cannot put your own beliefs into your own words, without copying/pasting another persons works, there is no point in continuing.
It has nothing to do with my beliefs, which is the point. I have agreed to accept the Word of God, as proved by the Bible, and for the first time in my life, I open the Bible daily, attended Bible study courses three times a week, study with a mentor once a week, and hold Bible study for others at least twice, and often three or four times a week. The above is what EVERY Jeshovah's Witness does..... every week of their lives. Think about that; 7 million of them with Bibles open all the time, gladly sharing with each other whenever understanding grows. And you think they do not know? I am around people who will gladly answer questions and who have 40 - 50 or more years of study of the Bible behind them. I had been reading the Bible, on my own, for more than 20 years, and I have learned more and understand more than I ever would have on my own, in the last year and a half. Now, why in the world would I depend on my own 'beliefs' when I have that available?!

The one thing you have not told me is what organized part of Christendom you call your own. Baptist? Catholic? Naw, you actually seem to know some of the Bible. Luthern? More likely, Baptist. Right?

None of the above. With the exception of weddings and funerals, I haven't been in a church in 20+ years. Neither will I ever go inside one again, with the funeral and wedding exceptions. Even then, the sooner I leave them, the better I like it.
I never said JW weren't dedicated ;) I dont agree with them, particularly about annihilationism, but if more people would read it, and understand the limitations of the various translations, then it would be a more peaceful world.
I agree completely, which is why I was so astonished to find the Jehovah's Witnesses. No churches, no rituals, nothing but the Bible, read by the congregation, and, even more important, accepted by the congregation as a way of life. Quite astonishing, I assure you.

Ummm. I assume you are speaking of what is supposed to happen at the end of this system of things, to the organized churches, governments, and so forth? In other words, ”annihilation”

I am really thick today, so you are going to have to be very specific! To the people at the end of of this system of things? Like what happened to the people in the day of Noah (the flood), at the end of THAT system of things? Right? Cause Almighty God does work the same each and every time.

Yep. That is what it is called. I will put up a post directly dealing with that question in just a minute. To me, there is no question; what happened at the flood? Were all of those people killed, directly, by Almighty God? Then under what pretense would He bring them back? It is all pretty apparent that Adam and Eve, created perfect, violated their contract, and will not be brought back. Anyway, coming up!
