(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania – 10/25/08) - Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama’s lack of “qualifications” to serve as President of the United States, announced today that he is immediately appealing the dismissal of his case to the United States Supreme Court. The case is Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083. Berg said, "I am totally disappointed by Judge Surrick's decision and, for all citizens of the United States, I am immediately appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court. This is a question of who has standing to uphold our Constitution. If I don't have standing, if you don't have standing, if your neighbor doesn't have standing to question the eligibility of an individual to be President of the United States - the Commander-in-Chief, the most powerful person in the world - then who does? So, anyone can just claim to be eligible for congress or the presidency without having their legal status, age or citizenship questioned. According to Judge Surrick, we the people have no right to police the eligibility requirements under the U.S. Constitution. What happened to ‘...Government of the people, by the people, for the people,...’ Abraham Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address 1863. Poster Comment: Berg is also promising to release the tape of Sarah Obama saying her grandson Barack was born in Kenya as soon as the translation is certified. I guess he is going directly to the Supreme Court because as a lawyer he knows he has a better chance with the Supreme Court than with the Court of Appeals. If I were him, I would drop the radio tape bomb at a oress conference on the steps of the Supreme Court just before filing my appeal.

My sentiments exactly. If he has the tape and he knows it is legit he should be playing it to anyone and everyone who will listen to it. If I had a tape like that I would make it my life's mission to play it for everyone who would listen. Not because I like McNutz, because I don't. But if Obama really is ineligible to be president under our Constitution then he shouldn't be allowed to be on the ticket or to stay on it when it is proven that he is not an actual citizen.

How hard can it be to get a translation certified? Something isn't right here. Obama may indeed not be a natural born citizen but I have a feeling Berg and the other nut that went to Hawaii are trying to make this a non-issue by lying about what they have on Obama. If this tape existed why worry about getting the translation certified. Just play the dang thing and I am sure Kenyans everywhere will tell you what she said.

Why would he? As I explained already, Obama does not have to prove his qualifications to Berg or to me. There is a process in place for registering as a presidential candidate. If Berg believes that the process was not followed or that the process is flowed, he must challenge the process not stalk a fellow citizen.

rob... For the record. In the past, George Romney made a half hearted run for president. His citizenship was never vetted by anyone nor questioned. His parents renounced their US citizenship moved to Mexico and George was born there.
