Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that he can “guarantee” a win on Nov. 4 in a squeaker victory that won’t be clear until late that night. McCain spoke amid signs of a tightening race, and reports of renewed determination among his staff, which is badly outgunned in both money and manpower. “I guarantee you that two weeks from now, you will see this has been a very close race, and I believe that I'm going to win it,” McCain told interim "Meet" moderator Tom Brokaw. “We're going to do well in this campaign, my friend. We're going to win it, and it's going to be tight, and we're going to be up late.” McCain was down just 5 points in the Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll released Sunday, with Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) leading by 49 percent to 44 percent among likely voters in the daily tracking poll, which has a margin of error of 2.9 points. Reuters reported that Obama's lead has dropped over the last three days after hitting a high of 12 points on Thursday. Pollster John Zogby said: "Things are trending back for McCain. His numbers are rising and Obama's are dropping on a daily basis. There seems to be a direct correlation between this and McCain talking about the economy." The Washington Post reported Sunday: "[I]nside the McCain campaign the mood remains one of gritty resolve. Top aides know they are behind, but they hold out hope and, like their candidate, stubbornly refuse to give up." McCain told Brokaw in Waterloo, Iowa, that he feels "like Knute Rockne ... go out there and get one for the Gipper." “We are very competitive in battleground states," McCain said. "Obviously, I choose to trust my senses as well as polls. The enthusiasm at almost all of our [events] is at a higher level than I've ever seen, and I've been in a lot of presidential campaigns, usually as the warm-up act. ... And I see intensity out there, and I see passion. So we're very competitive.” McCain added: “We're going to have to just get out our vote, work hard over the next nine days, and make sure that people know that there'll be a better future. People are very worried now — very, very worried, and have every reason to be. I think it's all about who can assure a better future.” On the endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) by former Secretary of State Colin Powell, McCain said: "I'm disappointed in Gen. Powell, but I'm very, very happy to know that [I'm endorsed by] five former secretaries of states who I admire enormously.” McCain defended Republican National Committee clothing purchases on behalf of his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Politico revealed during the past week that the RNC spent $150,000 on designer outfits at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue for the vice presidential nominee and members of her family. "She lives a frugal life,” he said. “She and her family are not wealthy. She and her family were thrust into this and there was some — and some third of that money is given back. The rest will be donated to charity. ... She is a role model to millions and millions and millions of Americans." McCain appeared in a gracious mood, saying to Brokaw at the end: "I appreciate your many years of informing the American people. You've come a long way from South Dakota, but you have never forgotten where you come from.”

I tend to believe him. Henry Kissinger already delivered this news to the Kremlin a few months ago. The computerized touchscreen voting is so prevalent that if the powers that be want him, they can make it happen. Also, recall that Lindsey Williams said his Big Oil contact said, "McCain's our man." Stealing elections at least makes it unnecessary to assassinate Big War Machine/Big Banking/Big Oil's enemies anymore. What follows immediately after the "guaranteed victory" will be the darkest chapter in American history, pardon the pun.

I believe the great majority of polls shows this not to be all that close, particularly in the Electoral Vote maps such as this one: What I am saying is that the election theft machinery is powerful enough to create the outcome the powers that be want. In the case of this election's aftermath, there will be massive civil disobedience, at the very least, should it be stolen for the third consecutive time. And rightly so, IMHO. I don't care one way or the other because I don't even vote anymore, but the mayhem will be well-deserved this time.

Problem - Reaction - Solution I believe McCain will win on Electoral College votes. Obama winning the popular vote. This will cause the masses to call for doing away with the Electoral College. Once eliminated the vote only has to be fixed in a few big cities.

That's pretty funny right there. Since when have "the masses" ever gotten what they want? I recall people here frantically telling me in reply after reply to "call your Congress critter" to stop the bailout a few weeks ago. I just laughed at them.

He is proving to be close to being right about the oil price, but not for the reason he gave. There is not increased production being dumped on the market from Indonesia or north of Russia. No, the oil price collapsed because the so-called "global economy" is collapsing right before our eyes with astonishing speed. What follows next will be a new Dark Age. He also said the U.S. dollar would collapse. Instead, it's getting stronger every day. I NEVER doubted what he said about McCain being Big Oil's man. I merely said that the powers that be have sufficient control of the touchscreens and the touchscreens are so widespread that "they" can assure any outcome they desire. The only hesitation this time might be the very chaos everyone feels in their bones WILL erupt and not only because of the rioting of the blacks, but because it would be the third consecutive stolen presidential election. Frankly, though, the blacks do not seem to riot the way they used to. The last big one was in 1992. They're just like the Israelis, I guess. They've gone soft. During the 1960s, the Israelis were kicking @$$ all over the Middle East and the inner cities were burning down all across this country. You may be right about Obama. I had thought for sure that the election theft machinery was on Hillary's side for 2008 and would now be in the final stages of preparing to make sure she was (s)elected on Nov. 4.

The party count on mail-ins here in CA only has the 'Rats with 1000 more ballots in than the R's and I'm betting that in at least that pool, McCain is leading. It'd be interesting if McCain actually took CA, with all of the recordings of The Annointed One coming out preaching redistribution and ragging on the Constitution, even 'Rats are apparently starting to second guess themselves.
