The critical problem we face today is the same one all mankind has faced: the state, those monopolists who claim the right to break the laws that they make and enforce. How to restrain them is the critical problem of all sound political thinking. Making matters worse, this gang now has a monopoly on the money and the ability to print it, and they are abusing that power at our expense.

How does voting change the situation? Neither of the candidates for president wants to do anything about the problem. On the contrary, they want to make it worse. This is for a reason. The state owns the “democratic process” as surely as it owns the Departments of Labor and Defense and uses it in ways that benefit the state and no one else.

On the other hand, we do have the freedom not to vote. No one has yet drafted us into the voting booth. I suggest that we exercise this right not to participate. It is one of the few rights we have left. Nonparticipation sends a message that we no longer believe in the racket they have cooked up for us, and we want no part of it.

You might say that this is ineffective. But what effect does voting have? It gives them what they need most: a mandate. Nonparticipation helps deny that to them. It makes them, just on the margin, a bit more fearful that they are ruling us without our consent. This is all to the good. The government should fear the people. Not voting is a good beginning toward instilling that fear.

This year especially there is no lesser of two evils. There is socialism or fascism. The true American spirit should guide every voter to have no part of either.

I agree but I'm still ambivalent about the choice between not voting at all and voting CP for Chuck Baldwin. I cast a proactive vote (write in) for Peroutka and I sleep much better at night..but I certainly agree on principle and would never judge anyone for not playing the game at all :)

I'd feel horrible, though, if Chuck Baldwin lost by one vote - because I failed to 'participate'. ~:*/ (honk honk)

They both goose step to the same cabal tune. The dye was cast long ago, it's time for this generation to decide if they shall live free or die. Maybe a few million want to live free bad enough. I have my doubts.

I am in the dark as to the intentions of my partisan local democrat friends. Many usually have signs etc, but not this time. There is only one Obummer sign, in the yard of people I do not know. Whether my friends will swallow their white pride and vote black is unknown.

Race will determine the "winner", not politics, regardless of who wins.

White trash voters of Pa showed their disdain for Obummer without hesitation in the primary, the open question is will they do it again.

Will the white trash and red neck states vote "party", that is the key to the outcome.

I agree.

What is the effect of saying Obama has it in the bag over and over? I would think the effect would be less people voting Obama because they think he has it in the bag. I also think the effect would be to mobilize McCain voters to try and beat him anyway.

The Only Choice on November 4th - DON'T VOTE

No, there is another choice -- vote.

I early voted last Saturday:

1) Inked in Ron Paul's name in the write-in blank.

2) Voted for the Libertarian candidate wherever there was one (3)

3) Voted for the other person in the case of an incumbent.

and

4) In any other race/vote, vote for the person you've never heard of.

Luckily there were no amendments or propositions or such.

Had there been, I employ this rule of thumb: find out which way the largest newspaper in your state is recommending then vote the opposite. Going from there, I don't vote for any taxes or increase in government power/bureaucracy or similar proposals.

That being said and upon leaving, I inserted my completed bubble ballot into what appeared to be a large scanner with the feeling nonetheless that I might as well have been feeding what was, for all intent and purposes, merely a large paper shredder.

Oh well, I tried.

A man has to follow his own dictates.

Ron Paul on the ballot would have garnered 30 million votes, an indication of the number of people that are aware of the political charade.

However, a majority of those would be voters will drop down and vote for their idea of the lesser of two evils, exactly as programmed by the system.

why do you think that?

Because I am a realist, not suicidal.

It seems to me that some people only think about the theoretical and the Big Picture as an intellectual exercise only, and they don't appreciate the in-your- face reality of the situation. They aren't ready for it. Heck, I am not sure I am ready either, and I expect it.

Anyway, thats what I meant.

My last vote for president was in NC.

Several voting machines and long lines. While waiting it was not lost on anyone that voting blacks were in the booth less than two minutes, while most whites took longer.

The obvious was obvious.

If and when America is ever occupied by an enemy force, I think the thing to do is remain pacifist on the outside and insurgent on the inside.

If you take out one of them before they get you, technically you are already a winner. However if you can take out 3 or 4 or a dozen, well then, you are a hall of famer. Being an overt threat will get you killed sooner rather than later thereby limiting your effectiveness.

I would want to be a surviving hall of famer, so my goal would be to make sure I am very practiced at the art of one shot, one kill, from a good distance, and then I would practice that art at very irregular intervals and in places that would reveal no discernible pattern. And I would stick to the one shot rule, kill or not. Taking two shots against a modern military force would get me killed, I would think. So, strict one shot discipline is vital.

In the time between missions, I would do as I do now, stick mainly to myself, and go about my regular homebody routine like nothing else in the world was going on, if the occupiers let me. If they don't, if they run roundups of anyone and everyone, then the same plan goes, except I would be lost in the woods around here living like a wild animal. In that case, I might not survive, but I will still make the hall of fame. :)

I shall not vote for evil, lesser or otherwise.

ability to access a safe house that is within a days drive.

Is there such a thing as a safe house?

My biggest problem is that I wouldn't trust anyone, at all. How can I have a safe house without someone knowing about it?

I do have a piece of land about 1200 miles away. It's a decent place to hide out. It has a trickle of water on it, and some wetland. I am going to make my own pond on that corner of the lot. I am currently working on having a road cut in and a clearing made for a house. It's a long distance barter deal.

So now I know I have it, the logger knows I have it, and the seller knows I have it. Soon a well driller will know I have it. Then maybe a septic contractor, or at least an equipment rental place and a septic system supplier. And on it goes... lol

I shall not vote for evil, lesser or otherwise.
