You cannot make a dog hate you, only fear you. You can make a dog love you, to the extent dogs can love, merely by being nice to them, petting them, playing with them, and feeding them.

You can easily make a human hate you forever, but you cannot make a human love you, no matter what you do. Not that people ever stop trying.

So...dogs are better than people.

Best test I know of... leave your wife and the dog in car for hour then watch who is more happy to see you on your return

Interesting. I never figured out how to keep the woman in the car that long if she was of mind to exit the vehicle. Women do have opposing digits on their mitts, unlike dogs.

So, what do you do, bribe them, or handcuff them to the steering wheel to keep them there?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Having been raised in the bush I can tell you animals are more predictable than humans....sad but true I prefer the company of things with four legs than two...and if you have not noticed in previous posts I have a "women" problem so I can't answer your question

Having been raised in the bush I can tell you animals are more predictable than humans....

I think you are right on that.

Except for Grizzly Bears in N America. Polar Bears I guess AS well.

They seem to be highly intelligent and therefore unpredictible in what their next action will be, rather like humans, IMVHO.

The rest of the animals are follow the script in their program, Grizz's seem to think.

There is a reason I have this opinion, and it was an close encounter to a massive Grizz in Canada.

It was a bit like meeting the Increadible Hulk in person.

Black Bears are more like huge raccoons that can hurt you, but,as you say, they are predictable.

Not so the Grizz.

All animals behave the same when you invade their space chance encounters are always tricky.... then again we had no grizzly bears in Africa
