Not that height matters that much, but tall people do make the best leaders. How can people respect a 5'6" runt??? How can world leaders respect the man? Not to mention his short man syndrome will put our country at risk. I think in the debates he showed that his short man syndrome really affects his personality.
Poster Comment: I know this is from a blog, but does anyone know if McCain is only 5'6"? If true, he most likely does have that wacky Napoleon complex.

I knew this, and a someone the same height, I disagree with that blog. I am disappointed in John McCain but I don't hate him. Though if he were to win I know I would come to loath him passionately. My father was a naval aviator in the Pacific Theater in WW II. And I find it fascinating that Poppy Bush was a military peer of my Dad. I've always perceived my height as a strong advantage. I would be surprised if McCain did not feel the same way.
Yeah but he can blow up a carrier deck like nobody's business and he can run like a jackrabbit.

I'm actually at a loss, I don't see where it is not. You obviously disagree. Where do you perceive it a disadvantage? Maybe an example of my point will help. I had tall girls make it clear they wanted no boyfriend shorter then they were, but it clearly is better to not get involved with people who are so insecure as to deny themselves a chance to know someone better for such superficial reasons. Some taller guys will try to pick on shorter people, but if the short person has done his homework and learned the right skills, you get to show a tall guy how much fun it is to be a pretzel boy. Even when facing a tall guy with skills, it becomes tactically more complicated, but his height is not going to be the factor that gives him a dinner to my lunch in a fight. I've lost against taller opponents, but I always come back for seconds and thirds, and I always take a piece of him where I can. Being short is no disadvantage. They eventually beg me to leave them alone if I work at it. So, what are these disadvantages you see? I am interested.

Heh, Oh I get it, this is no serious discussion. Fine with me. 5'6" is only two inches below average height. It is within the range of sizes in the men's department.
It is serious. The complex is a certified medical condition, and McCain has it, IMO. Read the hallmarks. It's U-G-L-Y stuff.

Now, are you speaking of the Napoleon Complex or the "Desperado Effect", where omega males attack because they have no other opportunities to gain resources? Be aware that studies peg the Napoleon Complex as something men who are FiveFive or below suffer from. You are actually out of context of the definition for that here.

Interesting article, but I don't take the Napoleon Complex seriously. Though I do believe a taller man definitely has an advantage in running for president if only because the empirical evidence is just too strong to rebut.
My height is from the Puerto Rican side (paternal mom) of my family. My Irish relatives were all about 5' 8" or taller. My Dad was actually 5' 4".
