We all won tonight, the best man of the two running won.

Now he has an opportunity to bring people together and make positive things happen and to start to rebuild and renew.

I'm truly glad to see the GOP get taken out and flogged like a red-headed stepchild. However, honestly, I have exactly zero expectations for an Obama administration. I'd love to be proven wrong, really I would, but from what I can tell he's just another puppet for the same oligarchs who've brought us every administration since Kennedy was shot. I'm sure we'll just see more wars, more waste, more fleecing of the middle class, more expansion of the federal government, more outsourcing and offshoring, more jobs destroyed with our Clinton-mandated NAFTA and GATT treaties, and more giveaways to the oligarchs. That's all I expect at this point from any administration or any party. I'm glad you have hope. I don't. Once again, I'd love to be proven wrong. But I don't expect I will be.

Criticize all you want now because come May or June,2009, you're looking at "hate speech" legislation. Now it can't do away with your freedom of speech but it will criminalize your speech if it is hurtful to the self esteem of another person or if your words damage his/her standing in the community. Ya' see ChuckieCheeseCakeSchumer and FoxieLoxie have been giving the 1st amendment lots of consideration the past few years.

Ferret Mike, take it away...give us a preview lesson on the do's and don'ts of of the Dem Party's stand on the 1st amendment.

Wouldn't be too appropriate, I am still a Pacific Green Party member. I am only a temporary associate. I expect to be butting heads with this administration on environmental issues.

I merely supported the best man to get in that I see as the most willing to see the big picture and see where we are right in areas he is now wrong.
